Following your application for admission to the University, I am pleased to offer you a place at Murang`a University of
Technology (MUT) as a Goverment Sponsored Student for a course leading to BACHELOR OF EDUCATION
(ARTS)..
This offer is made on the basis of the statement of your qualifications as presented by the Kenya National Examinations
Council or other approved examinations bodies, which is subject to satisfactory verification by the University authorities.
In view of this, you should bring with you the original and copies of K.C.S.E. results slip or other relevant
certificates during the registration day. The offer is also subject to your adherence to University Rules and Regulations
Governing the Conduct and Discipline of students at MUT. These Rules and Regulations must be thoroughly read,
comprehended and kept for future reference.
Please note that this offer does not automatically guarantee you a place in the Halls of Residence. The University provides
limited accommodation, giving preference to first year students and those living with disabilities on first-come-first-serve
basis. The University accommodation is currently charged at a subsidized rate of Ksh. 4,900 per Semester. Please note
that those who secure University accomodation must pay accomodation fee for the whole academic year, i.e., two
semesters and full tuition fee for the first semester. The application for University accommondation shall be done online
through a link provided on the University website (www.mut.ac.ke). However, most students reside in recommended
hostels outside the University where rates range from Ksh. 3,000 to Ksh. 9,000 per month. In each case, students
provide for their own food.
Because of the current spread of COVID-19, lectures may take place through face-to-face or online processes. Therefore,
it has become neccesary for ALL first year students to acquire a laptop.The following are the recommended minimum
specifications for the Laptop:
-Processor: Minimum Intel Core i3
-Hardisk: At least 500 GB
-Memory (RAM): At least 4 GB
-Operating System: Windows 10 Professional and above
-Productivity Software: Ms Office a minimum of 2010.
-Connectivity: Wireless Enabled

day:

You are instructed to pay your fees as per the attached fee structure at the following banks: Kenya Commercial
Bank Account Number 1107198356, Murang`a Branch; or Equity Bank Account Number 0220273636188,
Murang`a Branch; or Cooperative Bank Account Number 01129573999200, Murang`a Branch; or any other
branch of these three banks countrywide. Please remember to get pay-in slips, which you are expected to present to
the University during registration. Do not pay through mtaani or any other bank agents.
