Business Plan (Solar Plant Rental Service)

The Executive Summary:
The summary of our business help to know about what is actually we offered.
The key point of our business summary is that;
 Business description
 Start-up capital
 Target market
 Financial features
 Business legal form
 Owners and staff

Business Description:
We are in the business of solar plant and wasn’t just install plant. The
business motive can be summed up in the statement below: “To supply electricity without load
shedding, maintenance issues, high cost per unit, detrimental effect on environment,
fluctuating bills and importation of fossils that burn to generate energy. We supply power at an
agreed by both, lowest price for electricity which is also suitable for the customer as well as the
seller.

On the other hand, wapda run the electricity department it has a monopoly because of
monopoly wapda does not work for the public interest and don’t take seriously the people’s
problem and has very old set-up of electricity which is being the main reason of lots of problem
in Pakistan.

Our business helps in solving these problems and customers remain tense free and a fixed price
bill can fulfill the volley of electricity bill.

Start-up capital
6

First of all, as planned we installed two plants of 25kw each connecting the each plant to
different circuit. Some of its fixed costs are cost of a plant installation which could be 40 lacs.

This should explain why the start-up cost is a bit higher though there is no operating cost, just
invest and start making your money.

Hence, every partner contributes 1,400,000 and total startup capital is 8,400,000.

Target market:

Since very small organizations are usually predicted to be below 25 kW and the owners typically
lack the funds to install a solar plant, small businesses are our primary target market.

Therefore, we suggested buying a plant, for which they would only have to pay a monthly fee.
They found this to be quite fascinating since it offered them two distinct benefits. The first is
that it solves each problem concerning electricity, and the second is that it helps them save
money.

Financial features:
Financially, it appears to be a one-time investment business that will return on our investment
fast. There is no sense in waiting for break-even because these will not occur, and we are going
to start earning money right away.
7

With a total income of 205,531 and a total expense of 155,244, the return of the investment is
29%. Thus, we need to have a 6 percent sales ratio; initially, we invest 10,000,000, but over the
course of five years, we only invest 30,000,000 or more in our firm in the market, while
simultaneously gaining interest in the revenue.

Business legal form:

We are operating a partnership business, and we draw partnership

deeds as per the prevailing law. Based on a business plan, we provide a rental agreement to the
customer and charge rent of our solar plant properly. Other than that there is little or no call for
such legal form because our business is simple and straightforward and one can quickly see
what our actual business is.

Owners and staff:

In our partnership study, there are six partners in total. The owners work here to accept
customers and conduct the business and their problems.

There isn't really a need for proper staff in our line of work to manage company operations
because there isn't too much work. We only need two scientists, and we sign contract based on
pay. In the unlikely event as a glitch arose, the employee completed the task and they

are paid for it.

Industry analysis:

Within the renewable energy sector, the leasing solar plant industry is regarded as one of the
developing market segments. Renting solar power plants has grown in popularity as companies
and other entities place greater value on sustainability and look to invest in solar technology to
obtain energy-efficient power sources.

Growing Demand for Clean Energy:

The world’s increasing adoption of clean and sustainable energy is a major fact that has
influenced the growth of the rental solar plant industry. It is a phenomenon that groups of the
commercial and industrial fields are looking forward to minimizing their greenhouse gases
11

emission and seeking for renewable energy sources. Rental solar plants seem convenient and
rather unobtrusive proposed a much cheaper and convenient method for obtaining clean energy
without too much investment.

Cost-Effectiveness and Financial Flexibility:

In regard to this, it is right to point out that renting solar power plants has considerable financial
advantages when generating electricity. A large number of typical solar solutions may need a
relatively large amount of capital at some point in time though, which might not be affordable
to any enterprise. To counteract this challenge, several rental solutions are providing fairly
affordable leasing rates which can help a large number of businesses regardless of their scale
and size harness the full potential of solar energy while not having to advance a huge sum of
money upfront. Furthermore, solar rental plants can be effective in aligning energy costs with
revenue streams due to the kind of rentals, which, in most cases, are associated with
opportunities for creating rather flexible, in terms of legal agreements, enterprises.

Scalability and Customization: Standalone rental systems allow scaling the systems depending
on the energy consumption of the business and offer versatile solutions for installation, as
facilities are unlikely to be universally identical. The rates are standardized to ensure
affordability; the companies can select the size and capacity of the plant depending on their
energy demands up to 25kw, encouraging optimal generation and consumption of energy. This
adaptability is useful where electricity usage varies or where a slow shift towards green energy
is desired.

Operational and Maintenance Support: Since rental solar plant providers concerns on the
performance of the solar equipment, they usually accompany their services with operation and
maintenance services besides the rental services. This means that businesses are shielded from
the responsibility of analyzing the performance of the solar plant, carrying out maintenance, or
12

even executing upgrade tasks. Outsourcing of these chores provides a correct organization with
what it does best, while on the other hand optimizing a solar energy system and guaranteeing
conformance with provisions.

Environmental Benefits and Corporate Social Responsibility: The rental solar plant industry is
in line with the latest trends such as Corporate Social Responsibility CSC 34 and Environmental
Sustainability. Renewable energy solutions, when implemented in a business organization, are
an effective way of proving that the firm’s operations are green and that it cares for the
environment and is willing to take steps towards combating climate change. It was understood
that rental solar plants serve as an effective platform that may enable companies to improve on
the green image and provide support to the development of the cleaner environment in the
future.

Challenges and Opportunities:

Despite the numerous opportunities that exist in the rental solar plant industry, it also
has some threats that are as follows; These include:

Regulatory Environment:

There are differences between the strategies and policies formulated in different areas
affecting the prospects of rental solar plants. There could be challenges in local legislation, and
the provider will have to account for these to make the system run smoothly.

Market Competition:

This element often pushes the rental solar plants market to become competitive. The
stakeholders badly require new technologies that yield greater competitiveness, higher
13

servicedelivery quality and lower prices to customers as methods of distinguishing themselves

from the competition.

Technological Advancements: Further developments in the area of solar technologies as well as

storage system technologies and also the integration into the utility grid will foster innovation
and enhance overall system yield in rental solar plants. The latter is crucial to keeping
knowledgeable of such developments so that providers can offer solutions that are as cutting-
edge as the problems presented in the twenty-first century.

Financing and Investment: As every business, rental solar plant industry is also expanding, and
financing and investment for scale up of the business and for getting more and more customers
are another problem. This forces providers to seek affiliate relationships, identify finance
sponsors and prove the feasibility of their business strategies.

The rental solar plant industry is witnessing remarkable growth due to the rising demand for
clean energy and the cost-effectiveness of the rental model. With environmental benefits,
financial flexibility, and scalable solutions, rental solar plants are poised to play a vital role in
the global transition to renewable energy. Overcoming challenges and capitalizing on
opportunities will be crucial for providers to thrive in this dynamic and promising sector.

Business strategy:
This is our target in the strategy of business plan and small factories
electricity problem is one of the major factors which hampers the economical growth of
Pakistan. In Pakistan electricity nearly provides the Wapda that is government department and
employee work as their own wish all because of caused poor structuring there is no check and
balance system.

Load shedding
14

Essentially, load shedding is the main cause of low production mainly due to the fact that most
factory owners cannot afford to hire alternatives.

production cost

They also include the generation and distribution of electricity where production cost rises
because labor stays unruly in load shedding times and if mistakes happen in the electric
transformer, wires, etc.

government policies

The government policies of wapdaisnot partial and if it is so then no significance of

implementation of its policies.

Wapda are the only supplier in Pakistan and wapda has started to charge more at their own will
and corruption also affects this organization in a bad way.

Therefore to discuss these main problems regarding WAPDA supply there is a need for this
because our major market competitor is WAPDA.

The issue mentioned above is resolved in our business project and plans which is has no load
shedding in solar plant system, low cost of production and management issues which creates
our business strategy. in our business strategy customer importance was mainly and gave
excellent service in time no waste the time of the customer in any cost the issue was resolve as
soon for as possible and secondly there is backup of batteries that run for 2-days factory
without the solar panel and secondly I have least chance of any problem such this system our
this solar plant system was worked very well without any problem.
15

Otherwise in case any problem occurred that comes under our purview it has to be
implemented in good and more attracting ways so as to create goodwill in market.

Simply, we offered the small factory owner to install solar plant on behalf of our own on the
basis of rent agreement and you gave the fixed discounted amount of your average bill
throughout the year and its increases with the impact of inflation and talk about the benefits of
the factory owner.

After strengthen our position in market, we entered in race of growth of business and grownup
business with more plant installation and our income and investment increases simultaneously
in this way and plus point of our business strategy we do not have any need to operate
business.

Just keep an eye on it and invest and earn in save mode

Competitive Analysis

As per the research that we conducted we came up with the following data;

● In Pakistan solar panels are being sold on retail but no one is offering the rental system
of these panels, which is an edge for our business model as for small industries like
factoriesit’s a kind of large expense if they buy in one turn cause elimination of liquid
assets from their business. We are offering them these rental products in terms of
periodic portions of payments for the use of panels which would be a nominal expense
for them and an easy approach.

● As this is a new idea which is not quite popular in Pakistan at present. It will give us a
step forward in this model in the marketing.

● We will provide a flexible rental scheme that will help us to gain our customers.

SWOT Analysis:

Strengths:
20

Engaged to Strong brand reputation for the company and diligence in the field of
renewable energy.

As you can see the opposite, or the market competitor edge has been captured in this
model by making it a new service to lend the solar panels on rent, instead of purchasing
a panel that will cost them fortunes if they are businessmen or owners of small
industries. Skill and experience base of the partners which provide wide ranging
experience of various field of the business. Strong knowledge and experience of the
local markets in Pakistan particularly the ICT sectors.

Small industries say that they are in dire need of a company that can supply them with
affordable and renewable raw materials.

This model enables the customer to improve the capacity and productivity of the
small business while an improvement in the capacity and productivity of small
businesses means an improvement in the economic GDP.

One of the planets in our solar system is sun, which is environment friendly for energy
production since it only need light energy. By doing this we will be able to save and
prevent the use of fuel from depleting non-renewable energy sources such as fossil
energy. Which is once more a plus nib for our business model.

Weaknesses:

Lack of awareness and knowledge of the solar panel rentals services amongst the target
consumers. It will need strives for its awareness as it will indicate.
21

Sometimes it can be disadvantage for our business if we are situated in places where
sun does not shine for days during winter for instance but we are addressing this issue
by developing some sort of measure to store some energy to counter balance such
incidences.

Opportunities:

The constant aspiration towards the use of clean energy and developing consciousness
of attaining solar electricity in the Pakistan market.

The straight door opportunity that we are coming across is the way in which we are catering
our customer needs by providing rental services of plants on periodic rents, which are quite
convenient for them to exercise and to buy these services. Current and planned policies that
include incentives and subsidies for renewable energy projects on the part of governments.
Local stakeholders’ engagement in joint environmental projects and partnerships with
businesses. Generation of electricity without any other resource to be burnt.Leverage in
diversifying into other areas in the future, although it may not be applicable in scenario two.
And we also are ready to enhance our services – disinfecting, cleaning, maintenance and
providing more panels and energy.

Threats:

Regulatory challenges and changing government policies regarding renewable energy.

Fluctuating market conditions and economic uncertainties. The ongoing economic
situation of this region is unpredictable which could be a serious threat for our business.
22

Online Channels:

Utilizing social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn to engage with the
audience, share useful information, and begin targeted ad campaigns, we will create a willing
website which includes all the details about what we have to offer, costs, and rental times. We
will also optimize the website for search engines (SEO) to boost organic traffic.

Local Advertising:

Will Utilize traditional marketing methods like billboards, flyers, and physical market visits in
the local areas where our target customers reside.

Sponsor local events and community initiatives to increase visibility and build trust.

and leads generated.

routinely carrying out competitor and market research to keep abreast with industry changes
and consumer preferences.

modifying new marketing strategies in response to opinions and market research to optimize
results.

Operational Plan:

Operational planning is the process of creating actionable steps that your team can take to
meet the goals in your strategic plan. An operational plan outlines daily, weekly and monthly
tasks for each department.

Visualize the operational plan

24

Ensure that our operational plan's vision is shown in a clear and concise manner. All
stakeholders can benefit from having access to high-level or low-level views of activities and
progress through project management, clearly stated goals, charts, and visualizations.
Determine which operational business planning methods and resources will be most effective in
attaining its goals.
.

Operational Plan of Our Business

Having a strategic plan is necessary for our business, but it is insufficient. In order to guarantee
that the objectives of the organization or business are attainable, you must have an operational
plan for daily tasks.
Our operational approach sets forth both short- and long-term goals so that everyone in the
team is aware of their roles and understands what has to be done.
Ensure all team members understand the parameters of success. and ensures better decision-
making for the business operation. Because,A well-conceived business operational plan keeps
team members collaborating smoothly, ensures everyone knows what needs to be done and
what their part in it is, and guides critical decisions about long-term strategy.

In our solar operational planning Business, A clean, renewable energy source that shows
promising for addressing the pressing issues of energy security and climate change is solar
power. Even if there are undoubtedly obstacles to overcome, solar power has too many
possible benefits to be disregarded.
Solar power plants will undoubtedly become a growing factor in our energy mix as time goes
on, giving us a sustainable energy source that may be beneficial to making the world a better,
cleaner, and financially secure place for everybody.

So, now we discuss the key elements of our operational plan.

Key elements of our operational planning

25

Here are the key elements of our functional operational plan:

Purchasing Material

In our operational planning of solar business, 1 st We Purchase the Raw Material like
Solar Panels fromLongi Solar Co. Becausethis Longi Company is affordable to us. And we
purchase all Accessories which is essential for maintenance and during the installation of Solar
Plant.

So, first, we purchase the 47 Solar panels (575w bifacial) from this Longi Solar Co.
which cost is 1062600 which is best for our startup project in Business operational plan. After
Purchasing the Solar panels and all its Accessories.

Accessories:Batteries, Inverters, Wires, Racking and Miscellaneous etc. Now we Calculate the

Startup Cost For 1 Plant Installation.

26

Table of Startup

Total = 4,000,000

You also view the table, gross and investment cost of the and cost for
installing 1 solar plant. Our first aim is to first offer financial assistance to promote the growth
of small industries or Factories, then after a successful business we spend more money and
efforts in large industries or factories.

Thus, we perform the Purchases of Solar plant business, as discussed above.

27

Such fundamental items as solar panels, mounting systems, inverters, power control systems,
batteries, wire cables, and steel structures for frames can be procured from stores all over
Pakistan, they only require the right plan and implementation.

Logistics

In our business operational plan, in mostly cases we buy the solar panels through different
Vehicle’s but for transporting the solar panels system we use the Truck or Van . When
purchasing the solar panels we require the efficient Truck or Van driver for the transport or
delivery of the Solar Panels from one place to another. This means that the type of
Transportation selected depends on the place of departure and its destination.

For instance, while small-sized solar panels similar to the ones used on residential
rooftops can be easily moved from one place to another, large ones such as those used in
utility-scale solar farms may need oversize freight transportation services. And you need to
remember the dimensions of your panels when communicating with the freight broker or
carrier. This is true especially for the smaller Solar panels such as those used in residential
houses, the Solar panels can be palletized and Transported by Van in all cities of Pakistan. You
could use transportation services anywhere, whenever you have to transport your solar panels
by truck or van. Delicate and fragile solar panels require careful handling for transportation for
instance through the use of a truck. This implies that freight transportation solar panels has the
following factors to consider. >The primary aspect to consider when transporting solar panels is
packaging. The panels must be well packed they can also be damaged in transit on the way to
their destination. Solar panels are costly investments and are quite valuable, therefore, it is
paramount to ensure they are guarded throughout the Delivery process. we can easily load
28

these solar panels system in Van. And If we Purchase the standardized size or large quantity 70-
100 solar panels can easily load in Transportation Truck.

Vehicles Delivery work

So, now we discuss that how vehicles delivery or transportation work in our solar
operational plan business,

All transportation vehicles work in two ways.

PICK-UP

Technological advancements solar energy systems have gained a wide acceptance in

Pakistan.

The strategic plan of solar operational is that to incorporate the solar plant system into
various Factories or companies. And we charge the different rent for a solar system based on a
particular parameter aim and there are numerous number of facilities we provide to the
consumers.

Thus, whenever we are able to purchase the panels and all necessary additional components
that can be attached to these panels, we have all what is required. We will then proceed to our
operating plan which is to put up solar power installations in various factories across the
country and charge rent for the installations. First, any factories or companies we intend to pay
a visit to requires the presentation of own Business model and Operational Plan. And what
about to give more facilities to his factories or companies…

Thus, our Solar Power Plant system when installed does not emit any greenhouse gases
during power generation process. This puts solar among some of the cleanest means of
producing electricity. Carbon credits can be purchased and companies / Industries can get their
property with installed solar panel green certified.

Obviously, what you may consider as the ‘total monthly electricity bills’ can be influenced by
adjustments, corrections, payables and other from previous months. Hence, if you have any
uncertainties in paying for the cost of installing solar if it were you to switch to renewable
energy source of power.

In this case if the consumer agrees with us then we look for amskillful technician’s team and
hire labors for all maintenance and also complete entire above process. Hence, all technicians
of the ID Log Manager’s and labor set up the photovoltaic solar power system on the top roof
30

of the Consumer Factory or Company and maintain all accessories which includes Inverter,
battery, wire Structure and other appliances.

After finishing all installation process of panels, Pay charges (Wages) to Hirer Technician team
and all Labor. And all the charges of Solar panels system cost between Rs. 40000 to Rs.
50000.After 5 years we hire own solar expert which has much experience and skills to repairs
and maintain or install the solar system into different Factories.

Operational Planning:

Finally, looking at operational planning of solar business is the last section of this paper.
And, in our operational planning phase, there is the establishment of parameters of what each
team member should perform in the next quarter, six months, or fiscal year.

To guarantee that all operating services be initiated and executed safely and meticulously. As
for that, our Team have all the power to control the whole process, and thus, bear all
responsibility for the necessary actions.

Therefore, it is not difficult to understand that our operational planning services is quite
reasonable and preferred.

Hiring Planning

Identify any gaps that can exist in your team and be sure to fill it. The very nature of business
processing may require you to hire one or two people or even establish new departments for
that purpose. We pay for the expert solar technicians and labor after 5 Years with us. And then
31

all team work together Let this be an important lesson to those readers who are always in one
team with their coworkers.

To sum up, it is our expectation that our operation services can guide you what the quality
of Solar PV system is and what kind of timely service is need for the effect function of your
system. Come and find out more services our company offer on solar when you visit us next
time.

Here are some of the generic activities an individual should find himself or herself performing in
order to maintain the system with less effort:

It includes practices such as washing the solar panels to prevent their surfaces from being dusty
often.

Make sure that convertors are maintained every month by companies that deal with solar
products.

Gauging the performance of the system through the application that is installed in a mobile or
web application by the solar solutions company.

All the wires are well fixed and not hanging loosely on the trees or the roofs, which can cause
fires or even electrocution.
32

Examine guttering on the roofs surrounding your rooftop solar installation since water pooling
can cause the corrosion of solar parts and frames.

Mission

Our mission plan is that to promote clean and green energy through sustainable modern
technology. Wind Farms and Solar PV Systems are one of the most environmentally friendly and
flexible power generation sources imaginable. The demand for energy is rising with the rapidly
increasing Pakistani population. Realizing the tremendous potential of solar energy in solving
the big issue of Electricity around the world, our operational plan purpose is that to Renew
Power is harnessing these non-conventional resources to promote green energy in the
Pakistan.

business plan, and to make it even more comprehensive, we provide additional data on the
solar power plant. But, mine is a totally legal business plan, eh?

This is because we planned our business strategies and goals on the recent strategy of the solar
system. So, this policy is as follows: The federal cabinet approval on a policy shall be ensured in
the latest by March 31, 2023. The new strategy to produce local solar power panels has been
planned by the government and in this connection PM, Shahbaz Sharif, has directed the
Ministry of Industries and Production.

Several supporting documents should be included in the appendix:
