Mandala Madness Ebony Ivory 2 Colour Scheme
by Ineke Mooijenkind
For the Mandala I used 24 balls and for the squaring pattern 6 balls.
That’s 30 balls of yarn called Royal from Zeeman (Dutch shop).
This yarn is comparable with Aran.
Approx 15 balls of each colour.
Every ball is 100 gr and approx 240 m/263 yards.
So when you rip it out there would be a line off 7200 m/7874 yards.
Hook size 4mm/G.

make a ch and pull through the white tail. Crochet over
the black thread! In the last ch add black, cut the white
and pull the white thread with the black through the loop!
Weave the tails through the top of the white stitches.
R 49: Follow pattern with black. In last sc change colour.
Continue crocheting over the black thread.

R 72. Start with white. NOTE: you will have 4 white dc’s at the beginning and 3 at the end for
a neater look. Secure the ends of the white and crochet over them the next round. When
using white, crochet over the black thread.
Start with a standing dc 1 stitch before the pattern starts!
Follow the pattern and change colour in last dc, (ch1, skip st, dc) 31 times!
Change colour...the last ch1 and dc should be white.
R 73 white.
R 74: Note: I left a piece of black behind the white and picked it up in the next round.
Follow pattern starting with white. After the last hdc, 1 sc.....change to black and make 62 sc.
As the pattern says you still have 64 sc only the first and the last one are white now.
R75 black. R 76 white.

R 92. Start with white. You will be carrying the black thread behind your work.
Don’t crochet over it and make sure you don’t pull the yarn too tight when changing colours!
I picked it up with some stitches except on the white part!
When you reach the fptr2tog change to black in the last white stitch, make the fptr2tog but
finish it with white.
In the next round of part 15 you can pick up the black thread.
