ENVIRONMENT WARRIORS

Welcome to "Environment Warriors," a dedicated group of student

committed to safeguarding the environment and promoting conservation
efforts in any way possible. As conscious citizens, we recognize the
importance of preserving our natural surroundings and the diverse species
that thrive within it. With our primary focus on saving sparrows and
promoting plantation wherever possible, we are steadfast in our mission
to create a sustainable and harmonious coexistence between humans and
nature.

Our group firmly believes that sparrows play a crucial role in maintaining
the ecological balance. These delightful birds not only bring joy and
beauty to our surroundings but also serve as indicators of a healthy
ecosystem. However, the decline in sparrow populations due to rapid
urbanization, pollution, and habitat loss has raised concerns about their
survival. As proud "Environment Warriors," we have taken it upon
ourselves to reverse this trend.

Our dedicated team of volunteers, environmental enthusiasts, and bird

lovers works tirelessly to protect and conserve sparrows in any way
possible. Through awareness campaigns, interactive workshops, and
community outreach programs, we strive to educate individuals about the
significance of sparrows in our ecosystem. We emphasize the importance
of creating sparrow-friendly habitats by providing nesting boxes,
sufficient food sources, and clean water. By nurturing a hospitable
environment for sparrows, we aim to encourage their proliferation and
restore the balance in our ecosystem.

In addition to our focused efforts on sparrows, we are equally passionate

about reforestation and plantation activities across all parts of India. We
believe that by replenishing our natural resources and preserving our green
spaces, we can mitigate the adverse effects of deforestation, combat air
pollution, and support biodiversity. Our plantation drives involve
collaborations with local communities, educational institutions, and
governmental bodies to ensure widespread participation and a lasting
impact.

Through our collective efforts, "Environment Warriors" envision the

future where sparrows thrive in abundance, forests flourish, and the
environment is protected for generations to come. We invite individuals
from all walks of life to join us on this noble journey. Whether you are an
avid birdwatcher, or an aspiring environmentalist, or simply a conscious
citizen, your contribution can make a significant difference.
Let us stand together as "Environment Warriors" and champion the
cause of our planet's well-being. Together, we can create a greener,
healthier, and more sustainable Earth. Join us in our mission and let's
embark on this transformative journey of conservation and harmony with
nature.
Main project of Environment Warriors

1. Harit Bihar, Muskurata Bihar:-

This was the first project started by our team. It was named by Srija
Suman. In this project our aim was to plant saplings on vacant plots
and gets the plants adopted by the people.

2. Your Environment, Your Voice:-

This project has been started by our team for the plantation work being
done by us at national level. In this, we plant saplings outside Bihar and
help people adopt plants so that the plants can get proper protection.

3. Dana-Pani Bank:-
This project has started on 02 April 2020 during the Lock-down period
by our President Nishant Ranjan. We prepare food bags for the birds
and roadside animals and try to make them available to the people. We
want people to get into the habit of giving food to the birds and roadside
animals. Up till now 40 Dana-Pani Banks have been established by our
team .

4. Project Chahchahaht:-
This is most important Project for our team. We work for Sparrow
conservation in this Project. It was started on 01/01/2020 by our vice-
president “Aditi Roy”, its term is up to 31/12/2035. The basic objective
of this program was to conserve small birds especially the House
Sparrow. We work at the following points.

I. Free Nest Distribution: - This is the most important part of our

project to provide free artificial nest to common people.

II. Save Sparrow Exhibition: - We try to aware people through

exhibitions including nest, grains, books, postal material, plants
etc.
III. Awareness Campaign: - our team organizes competitions like
rangoli, nest-painting, nest making, painting, poetry/story
writing, photography etc. to create awareness among the people
to understand the significance of birds and conserve them in their
own surrounding.

IV. Sparrow Awareness Point: - This idea is coming from Bihar

Government’s scheme “7 Social Sins”. We make posters and
paste it in the public places in each of the blocks of Bihar.

V. Sparrow Zone: - We have taken this idea from Udhna Railway

station in Gujarat. In this project, we choose a place where
sparrows already live, but now they are gradually decreasing. We
arrange artificial nests, feed and water for sparrows in that area,
plant plants and gradually try to restore them there, when the
number of sparrows there increases above 30 it is declared as
"Sparrow Zone".

VI. Sparrow Festival: - It is our endeavor that "Gauraiya

Mahotsav" should be organized every year in the month of
November-December, because these months is very crucial for
the sparrow, as it starts forming pairs to lay eggs in the month of
January - June.

VII. Sparrow Related Survey & Research Paper: - our team is

doing research on Sparrow. Under this counting of sparrow is
done, so that, its data of the population can be gathered, so as to
understand their present population, reasons of its decreasing
population, problems and then finding the solutions etc. and we
are also working on writing research papers related to it. We are
also working to start a “Birds Research Center” in which the
work of solving various human problems like climate change,
agriculture problems etc, will be done by studying the subtle
things about different birds.

VIII. Sparrow Documentary Movie: - Our team is working to make

a documentary on conservation methods of sparrow to promote
sparrow conservation.

IX. Sparrow Related Books: - our team is also working on

conservation based books to connect common people with
sparrow conservation.

X. Sparrow House in every government office: - This scheme

was started by the Bihar government in 2015 but due to some
reason it could not be completed. Our team is trying to complete
this plan by 2035, for this we are working on the master plan. To
complete this work, all the government buildings coming under
a municipal body and gram panchayat from all over the Bihar,
will have at least one nest.

5. Project Aayush:-
This project launched by our team in 2023. In this, we prepare “Herbal
Parks” in the campus of various colleges, schools, or institutions in
free of cost. Its purpose is to provide information to students about
various herbal plants, promote research work and to protect these
plants.
6. Project Patli:-
In this Project, our team collects rare seeds of plants like Sitaashok,
Putrjiva, Kailashpati etc, which are now rarely found at various places.
Out of them, 2/3 is used to prepare plants from seeds, and the remaining
1/3 is displayed in various exhibitions to give information to people
about them and to involve them in conservation.
7. Project Parivartan:-
This is the new project launched by our team in 2024. Miss.
Mahazabizz is leading this Project. Under this, our team will get
cloth bags made by women and make tham available to the small
shopkeepers and malls, which will be given to customers at a fixed
amount and most important the amount will be refunded on returning
the bag.
8. Project Neer:-
This is the new project launched by our team in 2024. Miss. Nandani
Kumari is leading this Project. Under this project, our team will
make people aware about water conservation and will also work to fix
water wastage in public places due to problems with taps etc.(with the
permission of the government) along with this, we will also collect
water samples and do some research.
