Context:
Working under the overall supervision of the Human Resources Officer and under the direct supervision of
Resource Management Officer, Lagos, the candidate will carry out the following responsibilities:
• Support the HR Assistant with hiring actions such as interviews, and other recruitment processes for
Lagos and Benin-City sub-Offices.
• Assist with new hire orientation and onboarding processes.
• Support with the delivery of training and development programs for the sub-office.
• Ensure proper file management of staff documentations.
• Assist with clerical and administrative duties.
• Respond to general enquiries on human resource policies, procedures, and instructions.
• Provide support and back stopping for the HR Assistant, Lagos and Benin City.
• Execute all other tasks as assigned by direct supervisor or overall supervisors.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Relations, Personnel Management, Human Resource Management,
Psychology, Sociology, Business Administration, Philosophy, Law, Business Management, Managerial
Psychology, and other related Social Sciences and one year of relevant experience
Experience
• A minimum of two years progressive HR experience in the humanitarian sector; preferably the United
Nations or International NGO.
• Demonstrated ability to implement and manage all aspects of the HRM function in line with organization’s
policies.
• Proven ability to work successfully in a team within a fast-paced environment.
• Able to maintain high level of confidentiality.
• Ability to competently assess priorities; manage a variety of complex activities. simultaneously in a time-
sensitive environment and meet competing deadlines.
• Strong time management skills, organizational skills and attention to details.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English Language.
• Demonstrated proficiency in Outlook, OneDrive, SharePoint, and other MS Office Suites.
• CIPM or CIPD membership will be an added advantage.
