4. French, Portuguese and Spanish Oral Examinations (Paper 3) in each territory will be conducted during
the period 15-30 April in accordance with the Local Registrar’s schedule.
5. The Practical Examination in Physical Education and Sport (Paper 2) in each territory will be conducted
during the period 15 April – 05 May in accordance with the Local Registrar’s schedule.
6. Visual Arts: A common paper containing all options will be issued. Candidates will be required to choose
two Production Papers from the Options below. As a result of a syllabus change in 2024, please note
the revised options for examinations in 2025. Sculpture and Ceramics are now separate entities.

iii. Graphics and Communication Design
iv. Printmaking
v. Textile Design and Manipulation
vi. Sculpture
vii. Leathercraft
viii. Fibre and Decorative Product Design
ix. Ceramics
Re-sit candidates will have to choose between Sculpture or Ceramics; both options are now tagged to the
SBA for the previous combined format of the options.
Candidates must select for the final examination those two options for which SBA assignments have
been done.
The Test Paper is to be handed to candidates on Thursday, 17 April. The examination must be completed
during the period 01 – 19 May.
All of the options are 6-hour papers and should be divided into two (2) 3-hour sessions with a break of not
less than 1 hour between sessions. These two sessions need not be held on the same day.

All candidates will be required to submit a Reflective Journal. This must be submitted at the same time as the
Production pieces.
7. All Paper 1 examinations are multiple choice in format except that in Visual Arts. The Paper 1
examination for Physical Education and Sport will consist of a Multiple-Choice component and a
structured component.
8. The Practical Examination in Music (Paper 2) in each territory will be conducted during the period 01 -
14 May in accordance with the Local Registrar’s schedule.
9. Attention is drawn to the rule that silent non-programmable scientific calculators may be used in the
following examinations:

11. Information Technology Paper 2: This is not a practical examination and is offered at the General level
only. Please note no computer workstations will be required.
12. The Alternative Paper (3/2) to SBA in Biology, Chemistry, Integrated Science and Physics is a practical
examination – laboratory facilities will be required.

a. Candidates taking the Alternate paper (P3/2) to SBA in the CSEC Single Sciences are permitted to
take into the exam room notebooks and/or any materials relevant to the practical examination.
When responding to the appropriate question, candidates may refer to their prepared notes.
b. Please note the Supervisor’s Reports and Instructions for Setting up Labs should be shared 2 weeks
ahead of the examinations for candidates taking the Alternate paper (P3/2) to SBA in the CSEC
Single Sciences (Biology, Chemistry and Physics).
13. Candidates taking the Technical Drawing Paper 2, CAD Option, on 07 May should be given additional
time for printing at the end of the examination.
a. Candidates will be required to have earphones/headphones for the Papers 01 and 3/2 examinations
in Theatre Arts.
b. Candidates are allowed to bring notes on paper into the exam relating to the two videos which they
were expected to watch prior to the examination.
15. The Alternate Paper to SBA (Paper 3/2) must be written by private candidates who opted not to
complete the SBA assignments.
16. Industrial Technology Paper 1 is a common paper to all three options: Building and Furniture, Electrical
and Electronic, and Mechanical Engineering. The Paper 2 is a separate paper for each of the options.
Candidates are permitted to register for all three options at any single sitting.
17. Candidates who register for English A Paper 3/2 and English B Paper 3/2 during the same sitting will be
required to write only one examination since both papers will be offered as a common examination.
18. e-Administration
a. CSEC Information Technology Paper 032, Theatre Arts Paper 032 and EDPM are the only examinations
that will be offered online ONLY. All others will be offered both in paper and electronic formats.
