Thank you for shorting me for the interview. My name is Porshia Nowrin, and I am from Khulna, Bangladesh. I
have 9 years of experience in administrative support, working in the Education and Training sector. I am proud
to say that I have excelled in all these tasks in my previous roles. In my previous roles as an Administrative
Assistant, I answered an average of 20 telephone calls and messages per day, solved problems, provided
updated information, typed and proofread over 1000 documents, compiled over 1000 data, statistics, and other
information, scheduled appointments, maintained inventory, and greeted people. I also achieved a track record
of 95% success in data entry, filing, and record-keeping.
I am highly skilled in MS Office and Google Docs, and I possess excellent attention to detail and the ability to
work under pressure. I am a highly organized and detail-oriented individual who takes pride in my work. I am
always willing to go the extra mile to ensure that tasks are completed efficiently and accurately.
Currently, with this experience and skills, I’m looking for an opportunity to take the next step in my career. I’m
hoping to do so in an organization like yours that works to improve the environment, which is something I’m
passionate about.
I learned about this job opening when I was browsing Job Bank. I was looking for the keyword 'Administrative
Assistant'. That is why I found your company. I started to read about the job details, and I understood that the
job description matched my experience, especially my background in administrative support and my skills, like
a fast-paced environment and working under pressure. Those are definitely two words that I noticed when
reading through your posting. I would love to be a part of your team.
4. Why did you decide to apply for this position?
What attracted you to this company?
'Why do you want to work here?'
'What motivated you to apply for a job at this company?'
'Why do you want to join this company?'
I wasn't familiar with JBC Holdings before I found the job listing for this role, but I had an immediate interest
in the job. My knowledge and skills align with your requirements, and I got a positive impression of the
company through the professional tone of the job description. This motivated me to learn more, so I visited the
company website. I read about the finance team and found they have exceptional qualifications, which makes
me feel confident about my ability to advance in my career at JBC Holdings.
I want this job because I am looking for an opportunity that lets me exercise my skills. I feel this position will
allow me to succeed because my communication and interpersonal skills help me establish meaningful
relationships, and my experience with MS Office allows me to confidently type and proofread correspondence.
5. What are your biggest strengths (skills)? and how have you used that strength in your career?
https://www.tealhq.com/post/what-are-your-biggest-strengths
My biggest strength is that I can think on my feet and can work under a lot of pressure. As an Office Assistant
Cum Computer Oparetor at Sundarban Institute of Technology, we were organizing an IT conference that
needed a number of last-minute changes - due to a speaker canceling because of an emergency and 2 of our
volunteers not being able to show up.
So, we gave more time to each speaker and added a questions and answer section at the end of each speech. We
also encouraged the present speakers to talk about their business and personal experience more in-depth after
they were done with their speech.

My greatest weakness is that I get impatient when my work runs past the deadline. I get uncomfortable when
work is not completed on time. To avoid this, I’ve started paying more attention to how I’m reacting to make
sure I’m being motivational and helping foster efficiency.

established. After my first month in the company, I plan to use what I have learned about your processes, along
with my experience, to start delivering quality results. In my previous position, I managed to achieve my goals
within my first three months, and I am confident I can do the same in that position.

specific events.

How to Get the Job Done When Performing Repetitive Tasks?
How do you motivate employees doing repetitive tasks?
I use a desk calendar or notepad to schedule my recurring tasks at work into daily reminders. I receive task
alerts on my smartphone as well. I establish deadlines and pace myself. In addition, I use a timer to work in
short bursts of time—for example, twenty-five minutes—and I take breaks when I reach each goal.
36. Describe a time in which you created a new way of doing things that improved the efficiency of your
duties.
Tell me about a time when you developed a new approach or solution in your work.
Here's an example from my first job as an administrative assistant/assistant teacher at Mahmud Edas Shishu
Academy. Our team meetings always ran over the designated timeframe, and we didn't stick to the agenda. I
suggested we add a short team brainstorming session at the end of each meeting about how to improve
meetings. It actually worked, and it developed into a permanent agenda item for improving the effectiveness of
the team. We address the topic for five to 10 minutes each meeting, and we've implemented a variety of ideas
from this regular brainstorming session.
37. Tell us about a time when you had to deal with a challenging customer. What did you do and how was
the situation resolved?
***Give me an example of when you’ve had to deal with an angry customer. How did you resolve the
situation?
As an online shop Porshia Express owner, I was once in a situation where a customer was very unhappy with
our product. She was threatening to report and give a bad review about our products. I knew that if I didn't act
quickly my online shop would lose our page, so I talked with the customer and listened to their problems. I then
did some offers for her. She can choose a new product and then we will take the previous product and another
product will be given for free with the new product she liked. After giving these offers to the customer, we were
able to come to a resolution that satisfied both parties.
38. Tell us about a time when your patience was tested at work and you responded.
What was the most difficult period in your life, and how did you deal with it?
Tell me how you handled a difficult situation.
In my last job, I was working at a camp that was so tough to maintain. I was feeling a lot of pressure from my
boss. This meant that I ended up working late nights to get the work finished on time. It was a challenging
situation, but I learned it again. That is why I acquired a lot of highly skilled skills in time management and
planning.
39. Describe an instance in which you went above and beyond your expected duties.
Give me an example of a time that you felt you went above and beyond the call of duty at work.
A few years ago, I noticed my new colleague didn't complete most of the office documents for the following
weeks. My new colleague normally completes them on time, but he has been busy with several other urgent
tasks. Rather than add to his burden by complaining, I offered to help him with some of his workloads so he
could complete the work. We worked overtime hours for a week, and I helped him catch up on everything while
learning new skills. I am always ready to go above and beyond to help a colleague or manager with tasks.
40. What skills do you have that you feel will be most beneficial to the position you're applying for?
In particular, my computer skills and administrative experience make me an ideal candidate for the position. For
example, in my previous roles, I carried out clerical and administrative tasks, and I also worked with a team. I
am proficient in typing and proofreading correspondence, forms, and other documents, as well as performing
data entry. My computer and technology knowledge includes MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Windows, MS
Word, and MS Office. So, I can bring my successes and experiences to this job.
41. Talk about an instance in which your communication skills had a positive impact on your work.
My ability to effectively communicate has played a large role in my success as an administrative assistant.
Regularly, I try to work with other team members and listen to the officers and employees to continuously
motivate my team and improve overall performance. Finally, it worked, and I understand I gained
communication skills and time management skills.
42. Discuss a time when you had to face change within the workplace and how you handled it.
The biggest change in my career was learning to multitask and work with a team when we merged with a
competitor. It's difficult to adjust, but I was able to keep an open mind and meet some great new people. I'm
good at dealing with change because I'm flexible with my work and abilities. I'm not afraid of learning new and
difficult things.
43. Tell us about how you stay on top of tasks when you have multiple tasks to get done in a short period
of time.
How do you prioritize work if you receive requests from several different employees or managers?
"I define multitasking as doing multiple things or carrying out multiple tasks at once. It helps in getting tasks
completed at a faster rate, which improves productivity. At my last job, there was a time I needed to listen to a
customer on a headset while speaking with another customer in person. I pulled up two instances of our
customer service application, one for both customers. I input their information into the required fields. After a
few moments, I finished up with the customer on the phone and gave my undivided attention to the customer in
person."
I prioritize tasks by evaluating their deadlines, importance, and impact on overall project timelines. I break
down larger tasks into smaller manageable steps and use tools like to-do lists or project management software to
stay organized and focused.
44. Do you have experience training other clerks? If so, talk about the training process and what you
learned yourself while training others.
When some new employees joined our office, we made the training process for them. Mainly senior employees
used to take classes, and I also took classes. The class started at 10:00 a.m. and ended at 1:00 p.m. The subjects
were computer office, preparing official documents, making presentations and reports, receiving and sending
emails and phone calls, and also communication, time management, reliability, and flexibility. When officers
used to attend classes, we also joined those classes. I learned from them how to complete work on time,
communicate with others, and many other things. When I started my first job, I only had a basic understanding
of the fundamentals of computers, but now I have learned how to successfully prepare office documents and use
MS Office. I also didn’t have much experience with communication and management. But I learned it all in six
months. Finally, I was able to gain skills.

47. What did you like least about your last job?
While I liked working at my last job, there were instances where the tasks that I was assigned didn’t give me the
chance to expand my skillset and experience. I realized that my full potential wasn’t being reached and that I
needed to focus on personal and professional growth. I’m interested in this role because your company offers
professional development seminars, and I’m very eager to participate in the effective communication course
being offered next quarter.
I’m really excited about this opportunity and feel I could provide great value in this role. I would definitely be
open to relocation and look forward to learning more details around this.
50. What was the last project you headed up, and what was its outcome?
Well, in my last job as an administrative assistant at BNCC, every year, we had projects for five battalion
camps. In the camp, I typed and proofread responses, prepared camp instructions, allocated money, entered
data, maintained manual and computerized information filing systems, etc. I developed a comprehensive cadet
training guide for them. When I began working there, I was the only employee in the battalion camp, so it was
my responsibility to develop training programs and handle every administrative task in the camp. As a result, I
am proficient in typing and proofreading correspondence, forms, and other documents, performing data entry,
and supervising. My computer and technology knowledge includes MS Office. I am able to work in a fast-paced
environment under tight deadlines and perform repetitive tasks with attention to detail.

51. Can you describe a time when your work was criticized?
'How do you handle criticism?'
Like everyone else, I received constructive criticism from my colleagues that really helped me improve myself
as a professional, and I always took it positively. For instance, last time, I worked on a camp for one week that
turned out to need some revision before it could be submitted because the requirements were not fully met.
After having a discussion with my senior, he guided me. By attentively considering the advice he provided, I
gained a clear understanding of the modifications I could implement to enhance the overall quality of the end.
I’m eager to learn and listen, especially to people who have already been in my position. Feedback and
criticism, in general, help me become a better professional. Different views, perspectives, and experiences help
me improve my career and skill set.
52. Tell me about a time when you had to give someone difficult feedback.
One time, I had to give difficult feedback to a coworker who was consistently missing deadlines on a task. We
were working on it together. I knew that this was a serious issue because it was affecting the entire team's
ability to meet our deadlines. I scheduled a meeting with the coworker to discuss the issue and explain the
impact their missed deadlines were having on the team. I made sure to listen to their perspective and try to
understand any challenges they were facing that might be contributing to the issue. We ended up coming up
with a plan to set clear deadlines and check in with each other regularly to ensure that we were meeting them.
As a result of this feedback and our efforts to address the issue, the coworker's performance improved, and we
were able to complete the task on time.
53. Can you tell us about a time you got tough feedback from your boss and how you handled that?
At my last job, I was working on a campaign and received feedback from my senior that it wasn't engaging
enough. I took this feedback to heart and worked with my team to come up with new ideas and approaches.
54. What is your greatest failure, and what did you learn from it?
Give me an example of a time you did something wrong.
What assignment was too difficult for you, and how did you resolve the issue?
It was difficult for me to get ready for difficult work in my prior position as an office assistant cum computer
operator. We missed deadlines and experienced delays as a result of our poor planning. In order to reorganize
our management approach, I took the time to examine the circumstances and pinpoint the underlying causes,
despite the delay. We were able to accomplish better results and finish jobs on schedule by establishing more
realistic deadlines, encouraging open communication among team members, and putting in place a more
effective workflow. I learned from this experience how important it is to have thorough planning, to be flexible,
and to create a collaborative work environment.
55. What irritates you about other people, and how do you deal with it?
What irritates you about other people, and how do you deal with it?
I usually don’t get angry or irritated unless and until someone disturbs my work. Since, as an employee, one
should control their emotions. I will kindly ask someone to give me some time to finish my work. And I will
give them time after the completion of my work.
56. If I were your supervisor and asked you to do something that you disagreed with, what would you do?
Tell me about a time where you had to deal with conflict on the job.
Have you ever been asked to do something that you thought was a conflict of interest or unethical? Tell
me about it. What did you do?
Tell me about a time you’ve changed a colleague’s/customer’s/boss’ opinion. How did you do it?
Well, first of all, I would try to make sure I understood the situation. Especially if I was being asked to do
something that would normally be against the rules. Once I was sure I understood what I was being asked to do,
if it was still an issue, I would explain my misgivings. I would not act until I was sure that what I was doing
would not be harmful to our overall work.
*** Tell me about a time when you successfully managed differences of opinion in a team to achieve a
goal.
Tell me about a time when you successfully managed differences of opinion in a team to achieve a goal.
When handling conflicts between team members, I like to show empathy. By understanding each team
member's perspective, I can work toward a resolution that meets everyone's needs. This approach demonstrates
my ability to put myself in someone else's shoes and work towards a solution that is fair to everyone.
57. If you were at a business lunch and you ordered a rare steak and they brought it to you well one, what
would you do?
If I ordered a rare steak at a business lunch and they brought me a well-done steak, it is best to handle the
situation politely and professionally. I will politely inform the waiter or server about the mistake and politely
ask for a replacement.
58. If you found out your company was doing something against the law, like fraud, what would you do?
I would certainly make effort to confirm my suspicions first, but if illegal activities were taking place within the
company I worked for, I'd feel obligated to report them. Hopefully it would be something that could be resolved
through a conversation with management, but ultimately, my ethics would compel me to do what was necessary
to bring the situation to an end.
59. What’s the most difficult decision you’ve made in the last two years and how did you come to make
it?
Making decisions between team members for travel arrangements, itineraries, and reservations for a large group
can be challenging. Despite personal preferences, I have had to select the individual who is more qualified for
the task at hand. There have been instances where I had to promote a younger employee over a more senior one
due to their advanced technological skills and willingness to work hard. In such cases, I make sure to provide
necessary training and support to the individual who was not chosen, with the hope that they can progress in the
future.
60. Describe how you would handle a situation if you were required to finish multiple tasks by the end of
the day, and there was no conceivable way that you could finish them.
*How do you prioritise tasks?
*Can you describe a time when you had to multitask?
Typically, I complete the most urgent task first. Then I do some smaller quick tasks before reviewing the rest of
my list. I also put my tasks into a weekly schedule to ensure I have time for them.
61. If I were to ask your last supervisor to provide you with additional training or exposure, what would
she suggest?
If you asked my last supervisor/manager about training, he’d tell me that I need to spend more time learning
about how to grow leadership skill. This is the most important skills to administrative, and I often had to learn it
properly, I lead my team the proper about administrative work.

63. What are some of your development points you’re working on?
What Areas Need Improvement?
It's one of my goals to advance my career and take on a leadership role in the organization. So, I'm trying to
improve my leadership skills. To do this, I'm joining an online course and watching many YouTube tutorials,
which I'm looking to complete within the month, and I also want to learn more from you.
I can improve your Products and Services by asking for Feedbacks from the Costumers, Clients and
Employees, and you must also have an Open Mind (Open-mindedness) to accept their Critics cause if you
only accept their Positive Feedbacks but Disregard those Feedbacks that are Critical or Negative
Feedbacks it would be hard for you to improve your Products and Services cause people has their
own Mindset or Mentality meaning not all has the same Mindset or Mentality. Also seek or Research for
things (Products or Services) that are Important or in High Demand depending on what time or season like
now Foods, Medicine and Others are on demand right now meaning you would make a Good Profit if you
would create something that is on Demand or in High Demand.

for customers who wanted to purchase products that weren't in stock at our location. My ability to help
customers receive specific products in a tangible way helped me hone my customer service skills and
language. When my manager noticed what I was doing to handle customers' complaints about low stock, she
praised me and asked me to teach other employees my procedure for placing online orders for customers. The
extra work I did to exceed customers' expectations convenienced customers by delivering products right to their
homes and brought in money for the company.

In my previous role, my team and I were responsible for giving a big presentation to the management. I
assigned different tasks to members of my team. Some of the new employees struggled in their roles and were
nervous about the presentation. I had a few one-on-one meetings with them, along with practice sessions, to

timelines tactfully, resulting in positive feedback from the management.

78. https://learnprogramingbyluckysir.blogspot.com/2020/09/will-you-leave-this-company-if-you-get.html
Will you Leave this company if you get better opportunity?
This question must be answered in a somewhat diplomatic manner. I would answer this question like — “For
me, better opportunities does not mean a raise in salary. If I would get better opportunities in terms of learning,
opportunities to showcase my skills, better career growth options, good working culture, opportunities to work
in my areas of interest only then would I consider leaving the organization. Working for this organization has
always been my dream and I would not leave the organization just for a mere hike in my salary.”
Second answer should be like “First of all, I will explore the information about the opportunity to figure out the
outcomes of joining. Everybody loves the comfort zone and once I start feeling comfortable here, it would be
hard for me to switch my loyalty and compromise my comfort level. Comfort in terms of cordial relationship
with my peers, not finding comfort in my tasks.
I love challenging tasks only. To be honest, I will try to seek advice from my college seniors and the elders in
my family. If the opportunity fits all the aspects then I will definitely reveal the same to my reporting manager
and I hope your employee retainment policies must be reasonable enough to retain my employment with this
organization.”
