Motivation: The factors that influence the behavior of


employees towards achieving business goals.
Features of motivated workforce

Higher labour productivity, better quality work


Lower absenteeism- (employees’ non-attendance at
work without good reason)
Lower labour turnover(the rate at which employees
leave a business), improved labour loyalty
Benefits of motivated workforce

More sales revenue


More efficient production
Lower costs
More profit
Maslow’s Hierarchy of needs
