Machine cells each 0.23 mm in diameter, which number 87.2 million cells per kilogram
fly invisibly in the air and operate invisibly in the soil and water. The airborne cells
absorb sunlight and water vapor and produce hydrogen and oxygen. Hydrogen is
stored within the cell and transported to a soil borne cell of similar size. The soil borne
cell uses the hydrogen along with ambient oxygen to process soil into stream of atomic
materials. These materials are used to form mechanisms deep within the Earth. These
mechanisms produce additional machine cells along with every variety of consumer
product which is used supply a variety of surface mechanisms to meet the needs of all
people everywhere. Waste products are collected and recycled.

The Earth presently has 7 billion people. These are growing in number at a rate of
1.14% per year, with a birth rate of 2.03% By the year 2050, within 38 years these
numbers will grow to between 10.8 billion and 15.0 billion persons.
Self-replicating solar powered machine cell mechanisms deep within the Earth are
manufactured and operated to support 21.0 billion people at the same level as
millionaires now live in 2012, without pollution effects.
These deep mechanisms will take the form of a network of globe circling tunnels left
behind after soil and rock are processed into the raw materials needed to produce the
mechanisms, cells and consumer goods needed. These tunnels are 48 meters in
diameter and comprise a total length of 3.42 million kilometers.
Cells have a doubling time of 2.4 days. Starting with a single machine cell, the
mechanism will produce the global network of tunnels shown that will support 21 billion
people. Total time period from the production of the first machine cell to the completion
of the global system is 180 days, six months.
The system is automatic and self-regulating. When all people!s needs are met, the
system slows its reproductive rate to match the needs present at the time. Meeting
human needs means twenty-one billion people will not be supported until 2067-2109
time frame.

The 82 materials used by human industry at present are listed above along with their
quantities of use and their concentration in the upper crust, excluding major ore bodies.
From this we can see that 43.8 cubic meters of rock per person contains more than
enough raw materials to meet present demand for materials. Reprocessing waste
means that 0.5 cubic meters of rock per person per year is required to support growth of
today!s level of use.
The highlighted column shows the amount of rock that must be processed per person to
support a millionaire level of consumption. To obtain the rarest of all metals (gold)
requires the processing of 657.7 cubic meters of rock per person. This provides a
super-abundance of all other materials. To support a 2.08% growth rate requires the
addition of 13.7 cubic meters of rock mining per year per person. The entire system
processes enough material during construction to support 21 billion millionaires and
stores those materials underground until needed.

3D Printing
These Stratasys printers are the
beginning of a process that will take
atoms extracted from rock and
assemble them into finished products
that requires little to no assembly.
Atoms are energized and reacted on
an assembly surface at a designated
location to form a structured product
or part.
The tunnel boring machine becomes a
rock refinery and manufacturing
center.
Automated systems travel
along the surface in the machine!s
wake transforming it into a city scape
capable of supporting 4,770 people
per square kilometer, using materials
extracted from the subsurface tunnel.
The system described here make the
machine cells.
The cells are then
controlled through their swarming
behavior to self-assemble into desired
products.
