    Objectives:
    a. Define compare and contrast;
    b. Reflect imporatance of comparing ideas or things;
    c. Compare and contrast two ideas or things.

    Pre-Reading 30 mins. ACTIVITY 1: Picture-Word Association


    Directions: Show a picture of library.
    1. What can you see in the place?
    2. Why do you need to go there?
    ACTIVITY 2: Unlocking of Difficulties
    Directions: Allow the students to spell the words
    and define them after. Students use the words in
    sentences too.

    2. Popcorn Reading
    a. First reading is done by the teacher
    b. Second reading is done by the learners
    through popcorn reading.
    3. After the class read the story, let them answer
    During Reading the questions.

    1. Who is the character in the story?
    2. Where did the story take place?
    3. What did the character like about books?
    4. Why is reading a book important?
    5. How can it help you as a student/as a
    person?

    20 mins Direction: Divide the class into two groups and


    using a Graphic Organizer, allow them to compare
    Post-Reading and contrast of reading books or not.

    10 mins The students will answer the Reflection in ½ sheet
