14 . A tunnel is parabolic in shape. The tunnel is 8m wide at its base and 10m high at the centre as shown
in the diagram below:

(a) If a set of axes is fitted to the parabolic tunnel as shown below, state the coordinates

(b) Find the equation of the parabola in the form: f(x)=ax2+bx+c.

(c) A truck 7m high and 4m wide needs to pass through the tunnel. Determine whether the
truck will be able to fit through the tunnel or not. Show all of your working clearly. If your
solution requires a sketch ensure it is labeled clearly.
