PROJECT OVERVIEW

The redevelopment of the Zabarte and Camarin Roads intersection

envisions a sustainable, pedestrian-friendly, mixed-use community.
This transformation will address the lack of pedestrian
infrastructure, green spaces, and efficient land use, while
embracing the bustling commercial and residential character of the
area. The design will focus on creating a vibrant, resilient
neighborhood that enhances the quality of life for residents, visitors,
and local businesses.

SWOT ANALYSIS
S
Road intersection presents several key strengths. Its

STRENGTH
prime location as a gateway to both commercial and
residential areas offers high visibility and
accessibility, making it an ideal spot for mixed-use
development.

The lack of pedestrian infrastructure, such as

sidewalks and crosswalks, reduces walkability and
safety for residents and visitors. Additionally, the
absence of green spaces limits the environmental
quality and overall liveability of the area.

DESIGN CONCEPT

The "Convergence" design concept symbolizes the harmonious intersection of

different elements—urban life, nature, tradition, and innovation. It reimagines the
Zabarte-Camarin intersection as a point of unity, where diverse paths meet to
create a vibrant and cohesive community. Just as roads converge at the
intersection, the design merges the needs of pedestrians, vehicles, green spaces,
and architecture into a balanced and sustainable whole. The intersection
becomes more than a crossing; it becomes a symbol of unity, growth, and shared
progress.

At the heart of the design lies the circle, symbolizing continuity,

unity, and balance. It represents the cyclical nature of urban life,
where people, resources, and energy flow seamlessly through
interconnected systems. The circular form is echoed in the public
spaces, pedestrian paths, and green areas, creating a cohesive,
interconnected design that symbolizes harmony between human
activity and the environment.
DESIGN PHILOSOPHY
“The built environment should be able to provide users with a democratic
setting, enhancing the degree of choices that are available to them. Once
this is achieved the places are responsive.”

SUSTAINABLE DESIGN FEAUTURES

One of the sustainable features of the area is that We put streetlights with solar panels,
it reduce carbon emissions since it does not need for carbon-intensive electricity
production that the traditional streetlight have to power or supply the lamps. These
lamps are also good for energy conservation due to its self-sufficient energy system and
highly efficient in utilizing energy especially that it is powered by renewable energy
sources.
We also incorporate solar panels to waiting sheds since it can cover and collect
more energy to also help the streetlights and other electricity powered machinery to
operate by renewable energy sources.
