    state the function of each of the listed part. (4 marks)

    3. Identify the various NOUN PHRASES in the sentences below and state the the
    grammatical function of each:
    (a) The book is on the table.
    (b) We sing the National Anthem.
    (c) Caesar, a Roman Emperor was popular.
    (d) Mr Osahon is our Physics teacher. (4 marks)

    4. Write four uses of the RISING TONE. Give examples of eaçh use with two sentences. ( 4
    marks)

    5. List any four (4) types of VERBS and give two (2) examples of eaçh. (4 marks)
