    MARKSMAN ELECTRONIC WATER TIMER

    INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
    TIMER INSTALLATION

    1. Unscrew and remove the waterproof cover. Carefully slide out the battery compartment in the front face
    of the timer. Insert two new 1.5V alkaline batteries (size AAA) and replace the battery compartment into
    the timer face.
    2. Test the unit by turning the RUN TIME knob from the “OFF” position. You should hear the sound of the
    motor within 30 seconds.
    3. If you do not hear the motor, check that the batteries are installed correctly.
    4. Whilst holding the unit steady, loosen the large locking collar ring located at the top of the timer until the
    tap connector collar is loose. Screw the tap connector on to the tap until it is hand tight and the hand
    tighten the large locking collar ring. DO NOT use spanners or pliers to tighten the collars.
    5. Connect your hose attachment to the male snap-on connector at the bottom of the timer.
    PROGRAMMING THE TIMER

    1. Ensure that the FREQUENCY and RUN TIME knobs are in the ‘12 o'clock’, RESET and OFF positions.
    2. PLEASE NOTE that the first time you program the timer if will not begin to operate until after a time delay
    equal to the setting of the FREQUENCY knob that you select.
    3. The timer starts to keep time when you set it. It is important that you set the timer at the hour you want
    it to operate. For example if you want the timer to operate at 7:00 AM you must physically set it at 7:00
    AM.
    Sample programmes:

    A. You want the timer to water every morning at 6:00 AM and every evening at 6:00 PM for 10 minutes each
    time, that’s twice a day for 10 minutes each watering. You must program the timer at either 6:00 AM or
    6:00 PM. At either of these times turn the FREQUENCY knob to 12 (hours) and the RUN TIME knob to 10
    (minutes). After 12 hours the timer should begin to operate and run for 10 minutes. 12 hours later the
    timer will repeat this function and continue to water for 10 minutes every 12 hours after then.
    B. You want the timer to water every evening at 9:00 PM for 30 minutes. You must program the timer at
    9:00 PM. At this time turn the FREQUENCY knob to 24 (hours) and the RUN TIME knob to 30 (minutes).
    After 24 hours the timer should begin to operate and run for 30 minutes. 24 hours (1 day) later the timer
    will repeat this function and continue to water for 30 minutes every day after then at 9:00 PM.
    4. Once you have set the timer replace the waterproof front cover and tighten it by hand.
    5. You may change the FREQUENCY and RUN TIME at any time by turning the knobs to the desired new
    settings.
    6. To STOP the time and cancel the program turn the FREQUENCY knob to the RESET position. All watering
    will stop. To re-activate you will need to reset the timer as described above.
