Tupperware
In 1946, Mr. Earl Tupper with his acumen, skill and innovative thinking, started a never-to-end
revolution with Tupperware. Tupperware products created a need and space for practical and
durable products. The brand made its debut about 75 years ago, it is still revolutionising lives
across the world.
Brownie Wise, a remarkable American salesperson, was a pioneer of this revolution. She
identified the need for product demos and introduced a party plan system, which ultimately
created entrepreneurial opportunities for women. This system went on to break all records and
made Tupperware a leading homeware brand across the globe.
Tupperware is now sold in almost 100 countries. In almost seven decades, the products have
become more diverse, environmentally-responsible and durable.

Tupperware has found a place in almost every household across the globe. What’s our secret?
The whole world knows it already: designing innovative, functional & environmentally-responsible
homeware products. We achieved this by welcoming women from around the world to lead with
us. We started off with a vision to help people tidy up their kitchen, created entrepreneurial
opportunities for women along the way, and ended up building a community of customers who
chose a sustainable lifestyle, simply by choosing Tupperware.
A Sustainable Alternative
Our Reduce-Reuse-Recycle model ensures no Tupperware ends up clogging oceans or
threatens sea life. We encourage our customers to reuse their old Tupperware, and when it’s
past that, we recycle it.
Mr Earl Tupper may have invented Tupperware, but it was Brownie Wise's marketing genius that
broke all sales records.
Her vision carved a path for women to earn on their own terms. For over 75 years, Tupperware
has bred 3.2 million entrepreneurs, most of which are women.
Tupperware India has an all-women sales force. We have also built a team of 100 entrepreneur
leaders who have been groomed by Tupperware system and are now cultivating confidence in
lakhs of Indian women.

We Always Improve
Since 2017, we have been measuring our performance in the
following key areas (i.e., energy and emissions, water and waste),
and we have made significant progress since that time. Our revised
targets challenge us to deliver significant additional resource
efficiencies in the coming decade.
WASTE
Greece: Piloted using paper tape instead of plastic tape for cartons,
reducing the consumption of more than 137kg of plastic tape.
India: Waste reduction projects led to a decrease in waste
generation of more than 21% from 2020 to 2021.
Korea: Reusing color-purged material production led to the reuse of
5.2 tons of plastic waste in 2021.
Mexico: Cardboard separation and recovery procedures were
reinforced to optimize reuse, drastically reducing the amount of
cardboard discarded by more than 39% in 2021 from 2020.
SUSTAINABLE MATERIALS
Actions we’ve taken and reported that drive progress toward our
2025 targets include reducing the number of polybags per unit
produced, reviewing approximately 1,500 packaging procedures and
making improvements where possible; introducing compostable
polybags and increasing our investment in our ECO+ and other
sustainable material alternatives.
Governance
Goals
Sustainability has always been core to Tupperware. Our brand was built on the principles of
sustainability by helping households save time, money and food for more than 75 years.
To support our ongoing Turnaround Plan, 2020 was the right time for us to begin reassessing
the topics that matter to Tupperware and to our stakeholders. We conducted a materiality
assessment to define our priority ESG topics and our revised ESG strategy. Since then, we
have matured in our understanding of ESG principles and have been making the intentional
shift toward an integrated, data-driven approach.
We redefined our environmental goals in 2021, and we introduced for the first time social and
governance goals. We’re focused on goals like improving energy efficiency and reducing
emissions in our operations, eliminating single-use packaging for our products and
prioritizing diversity in our workforce and in our Board of Directors.
2021 was an important year for further integrating ESG initiatives into our business at
Tupperware. We have been rebalancing our priorities, reaffirming our material topics and
setting clear strategies toward the achievement of our ESG goals.
We are now looking forward as we work to nurture a better future, every day.
