Your Excellency, your presence at the epoch-making event will not only be of great blessing for the
Church in Akoko land, but more importantly, it will confer honour on Akoko Nation and revive the
cherished and resplendent glory of the land. Akokos are leading people who have contributed
immensely and yet prominently to the agricultural prosperity, political stability and educational
development during the pre-independence and post-independence history of Nigeria. The tireless and
towering efforts of the legendary Archdeacon L.A. LENNON, the Apostle to Akoko land, in making Akoko
prominent through his missionary activities in the wake wake of the 20th century culminated into the
creation of Akoko Diocese 40 years ago, which we are celebrating today.
Your esteemed presence at the celebration of the Anniversary and the Dedication of the Cathedral will

your mandate.
