Drugs and Question
Drugs are not good for you. When you see a group of boys and girls at the corners of a wall, with their
tea-pot steaming, don't seek their company. If you see a young person with a vacant stare, don't draw
near him. If you see a person with any type of cigarette, idly smoking, don't try to imitate him. Not all
tea is pure tea. Neither are all cigarettes. Keep away from gangs taken to tea and cigarette habits, and
you will not be deceived by unfaithful friends or comrades..
Drugs are very harmful for you and society. They are the source of illnesses and crimes.
Many mad people have been drug-addicts. The effect of drugs on the brain is very harmful. They
deteriorate the nervous system. The sensation of happiness that one feels when consuming dugs is
ephemeral. To feed his habit the drug-addict has to increase the quantity of drug in order to get the
same sensation. He will end up becoming drug-dependent, state commonly referred to as drug-
addicted. At this stage he has no more control over himself. He becomes abnormal and can act as
dangerously as the other mad people: he becomes aggressive and violent; he can commit crime.
The story of Sami is a sad example. He nearly cut his parents throats. He had become so addicted to
drugs that nobody could stop him. He would not listen even to his parents' advice. He was robbing his
parents of their money after having spent all his money on drug. They were forced to move far away
from him to save their lives.
