    ، ‫ِﻚ أ َ ْﺳﺘَـﻐـﻴﺚ‬
    ِ ‫ﻳﺎ ﺣَـﻲ ﻳﺎ َﻗﻴّـﻮ ُم ﺑ ِـﺮ َ ْﺣﻤَـﺘ‬
    ‫ َوﻻ ﺗَﻜِ ﻠـﻨﻲ إ ِﱃ‬، ‫ﺷـﺄْﻧـﻲ ﻛُﻠـﻪ‬ َ ‫ِـﺢ ﻟﻲ‬ْ ‫أ َ ْﺻﻠ‬
    ‫ﻧ َ ْﻔـﺴﻲ َﻃـ ْﺮ َﻓ َﺔ ﻋَـﻴﻦ‬

    O Ever-Living One, O Eternal One, by Your mercy I call on


    You to set right all my affairs. Do not place me in charge of
    my soul even for the blinking of an eye (i.e. a moment).

    َ َ ‫رب ٱ ۡﻏ ِﻔ ۡﺮ َوٱ ۡر َﺣ ۡﻢ َوأ‬
    ٰ ُ ‫ﻧﺖ َﺧ ۡﻴﺮ‬
    َ‫ٱﻟﺮﺣِﻤِ ﻴﻦ‬

    “My Lord, grant pardon and have mercy,


    for you are the best of all the merciful.”

    Sūrah al-Muʾminūn, āyah 118


    ‫ﻧﺖ َوﻟ ِﻲۦ ﻓِﻲ ٱﻟﺪﻧۡ َﻴﺎ َوٱﻟۡﺄ ٓ ِﺧﺮ َ ِ ۖة‬َ َ ‫ت َوٱﻟۡﺄ َ ۡر ِض أ‬ ِ ‫َﻓ‬
    ِ ‫ﺎﻃﺮ َ ٱﻟﺴ ٰ َﻤ ٰ َﻮ‬
    ٰ ِ ‫ﺴﻠِ ٗﻤﺎ َوأ َﻟۡ ِﺤ ۡﻘﻨِﻲ ﺑ‬
    َ‫ﭑﻟﺼﻠِ ِﺤﻴﻦ‬ ۡ ‫ﺗَ َﻮﻓﻨِﻲ ُﻣ‬

    O Creator of the heavens and the Earth, You are my guardian


    in this world and the Hereafter. Make me die a Muslim and
    make me join the righteous.

    Sūrah Yūsuf, āyah 101


    َ ‫ﺐ ﻟ َﻨَﺎ ﻣِﻦ ﻟ ُﺪ‬
    ‫ﻧﻚ‬ ْ ‫ر َﺑﻨَﺎ َﻻ ﺗُﺰ ِ ْغ ُﻗﻠ ُﻮﺑَﻨَﺎ ﺑَ ْﻌﺪَ إ ِ ْذ َﻫﺪَ ْﻳﺘَﻨَﺎ َو َﻫ‬
    ُ ‫ﻧﺖ اﻟْ َﻮﻫ‬
    ‫ﺎب‬ َ َ‫ﻚ أ‬ َ ‫ر َ ْﺣﻤ ًَﺔ ۚ إ ِﻧ‬

    Our Lord, do not let our hearts deviate from the right path after
    You have given us guidance, and bestow upon us mercy from
    Your own. Surely, You, and You alone, are the One who bestows
    in abundance.

    Sūrah Āl ʿImrān, āyah 3


    ‫ـﻦ ﻋِﺒـﺎ َدﺗِـﻚ‬
    ِ ‫ﺴ‬ْ ‫ َو ُﺣ‬، ‫ﻜـﺮ ِك‬ َ ِ ‫اﻟﻠ ّ ُﻬـﻢ أ َﻋِـﻨﻲ ﻋَﻠـﻰ ِذ ْﻛـﺮ‬
    ُ ‫ك َو‬
    ْ ‫ﺷ‬

    O Allah, help me to remember You, to give You thanks,


    and to perform Your worship in the best manner.
