    Why study Public Administration?


    Public administration is the implementation of government policies. Today it includes
    some responsibility for accomplishment of the policies and programs of governments. It
    is focused on the planning, organizing, directing, coordinating, and controlling of
    government actions. Public administrators make decisions to help to transform their
    cities into a better and more comfortable place to live. If you are thinking about
    studying Public Administration you should know some advantages of this program.

    Skill improvement
    While studying Public Administration you will develop the leadership and management
    skills. You will be taught how to manage people efficiently and how to inspire them for
    the productive work. You will learn how to be a leader and how to transfer tasks to other
    workers.

    Career in government
    Public Administration allows you to start a career in government. Many degrees in Public
    Administration also include internships in local government departments - this
    information you can find in the curriculum of a study program you have chosen! After
    such internship it will be easier for you to become a politician.

    Various career opportunities


    Besides career in government, there are many ways you can use your skills and
    knowledge received by a degree in Public Administration. Graduates can find
    themselves in public health area, communications, media, human resource and any
    area related to management and communication with people. This degree is also
    suitable for people who want to have careers in public management, policy-making, and
    the nonprofit sector. They may work as politicians, education administrators, healthcare
    administrators, international developer, urban planner. Even a Bachelor degree in Public
    Administration opens a lot of doors, not to mention higher level education.

    Most of the graduates with a degree in Public Administration start a career in local
    government departments, and they have a chance to change it for better before the
    promotion to state government departments, so if you want to change the life of your

    What Does a Public Administrator Do?


    Public administrators share an important role in ensuring that laws and regulations, civil
    rights, municipal budgets and health and safety codes are enforced to protect the community
    they serve.

     Research, plan and recommend policies and programs that fall within budgets
    and follow administrative and government law
     Coordinate with others to adopt and put into action new policies or programs
     Manage and evaluate special programs and/or projects
     Collect and analyze qualitative and quantitative data such as public records,
    budget reports, surveys and historical data to make adjustments and
    improvements, as needed
     Communicate the effectiveness of programs with other employees, constituents
    and stakeholder groups

    Thank you for being a truly outstanding teacher. Your passion for teaching and your dedication to your
    students is obvious in everything you do. I feel so lucky to have been put into your class. I hope you
    know the priceless impact you are making in so many lives.
