2.Scope
The scope of this substation stringing project encompasses the following key activities:
1. Conductor Installation:
- Laying out the conductors along the designated routes within the substation,
ensuring they are properly coiled and protected from damage.
- Lifting and positioning the conductors between the support structures, using
specialized equipment such as conductor pullers and tensioners as required.

- Securing the conductors to the support structures using approved hardware and
fittings, maintaining the required sag and tension.
2. Conductor Connections:
- Ensuring all conductor connections meet the torque specifications and are properly
protected against environmental elements.
3. Insulator Installation:
- Connecting the insulators to the support structures and the conductors using the
recommended hardware and installation techniques.
- Verifying the correct placement and orientation of the insulators to maintain the
design electrical characteristics.
4. Grounding System:
- Installing the grounding conductors and connecting them to the substation's overall
grounding grid.
- Ensuring all conductive parts within the substation, including the support structures
and equipment, are properly bonded and grounded.

5. Transportation and Support Equipment:
All equipment and tools will be inspected, tested, and maintained in good working
condition before and during the substation stringing operations to ensure the safety and
efficiency of the work. Specialized equipment, such as conductor pullers and tensioners,
will be operated by trained and experienced personnel only.
The selection and use of the equipment and tools will be based on the specific
requirements of the substation layout, conductor specifications, and industry best
practices. Appropriate safety measures and procedures will be implemented to minimize
the risks associated with the handling of heavy machinery, electrical hazards, and
working at heights.

6.Responsibilities
6.1 Project Manager
Responsible for accomplishing the stated project objectives, which include creating
clear and attainable project objectives, building the project requirements, and
managing the constraints of the project management triangle: cost, time, scope,
and quality.
Supervise closely the activities designated to him and ensure that all instructions and
safety procedures are followed and strictly adhered to, also responsible for TBT before
starting the work.
Coordinate all relevant permits and ensure they are current and up to date for the
duration of the activities. The PTW Coordinator shall check the proposed ac�vi�es are
being done as per the specified �me period.

Ensure enforcement of safety procedures in accordance with the approved HSE Plan. Will be
closely monitoring the site engineer’s strict implementation of the MS and Risk Assessment,
the use of proper tools and equipment to maintain safety, certifications of equipment and
their adherence to safety regulations, reporting of any unsafe work or stopping work that
does not comply with ES&H procedures and monitor the implementation of the PTW system,
also responsible about ES&H TBT before starting the work.

- Set up the necessary safety barriers, signage, and traffic management controls to
isolate the work area.

9 Safety

work areas.
5. Hazardous Materials:
- Identify and properly handle any hazardous materials, such as oils, solvents, or
chemicals, that may be present during the work.
- Train personnel on the safe handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous materials.
