16. A relation R from A to B can be depicted pictorially using arrow diagram. In arrow
diagram, we write down the elements of two sets A and B in two disjoint circles. Then
we draw arrow from set A to set B whenever (a, b) belongs to R. An example of
information depicted through an arrow diagram is shown below.

Complex numbers are the numbers that are expressed in the form of 𝑎 + 𝑖 𝑏 where, 𝑎, 𝑏 are real
numbers and ' 𝑖 ' is an imaginary number called "iota".
The value of 𝑖 = √−1. For example, 2 + 3𝑖 is a complex number, where 2 is a real number (Re)
and 3𝑖 is an imaginary number (Im).
An imaginary number is usually represented by ' 𝑖 ', which is equal to √−1. Therefore, the
square of the imaginary number gives a negative value. Since, 𝑖 = √−1, so, 𝒊𝟐 = −1.
The complex number is basically the combination of a real number and an imaginary number.
Generally a complex number is in the form of 𝑎 + 𝑖𝑏 where 𝑎, 𝑏 are real numbers and 𝑖 = √−1.
Based on the above information, answer the following questions:
𝟑−𝐢
(i) Express in the form of 𝑎 + 𝑖𝑏. [1]

(ii) Calculate the value of 𝒊𝟏𝟓 − 3𝒊𝟕 + 2𝒊𝟏𝟎𝟗 + 𝒊𝟏𝟎𝟎 − 𝒊𝟏𝟕 + 5𝒊𝟑 . [1]
𝟏+𝐢 𝒏
(iii) For what least value of the natural number 𝑛, ( ) = 1? [2]
