    Subject: Report on ‘One Day Seminar on Progression on NEP-2020 Implementation of


    various Schools’
    Date: 10th May, 2023
    Venue: Auditorium Hall, Academic Building
    Yashwantrao Chavan Maharashtra Open University, Nashik

    Introduction:

    Centre for Internal Quality Assurance is focuses on academic development through


    conducting various seminars, workshop related to academic. As per UGC guidelines and need of
    implementation of NEP-2020 One Day Seminar was conducted on the topic of ‘Progression on
    NEP-2020 Implementation of various Schools’.
    Dr. Madhuri Kharjul welcomes all the attendees and explains the agenda of One Day
    Seminar. Dr. Ram Thakar, Director, CIQA mentioned about the need of implementation of NEP-
    2020 in Open & Distance Education. He briefed about the purpose of a one day seminar. He also
    explained that YCMOU has already implementing various guidelines of NEP-2020 such as
    flexibility, multiple entry and exit option, blended learning; multidisciplinary, interdisciplinary and
    intra-disciplinary approach etc.
    Dr. Ram Thakar requested to all School Directors to present current scenario of NEP
    Implementation in respective Schools UG-PG programs. Presentation Started with Dr. Sunanda
    More, Director, School of Architecture, Science & Technology followed by Dr. Surendra Patole,
    Director, School of Commerce & Management, Dr. Pravin Ghodeswar, Director, School of
    Humanities and Social Sciences, Shri Madhav Palshikar, Director, School of Computer Science,
    Prof. Kavita Salunke, Director, School of Education, Prof. Jaydeep Nikam, Director, School of
    Continuing Education and School of Health Science.

    Shri. Bhatuprasad Patil, COE YCMOU highlighted the current scenario of Academic Bank of
    Credit and presented the detailed process of ABC ID.

    Discussion was held on all above points of NEP-2020. In which following important points were
    covered;
     Internship
     Apprenticeship / On Job Training (OJT)
     Evaluation Pattern
     Exam Schedule
     Challenges to Open Universities
     Credit Equivalency
     Online Examination
     Structural Designing of Program

    After discussion on the above points Prof. Jaydeep Nikam has given his concluding remark by
    giving details about NEP-2020 Implementation process and challenges before YCMOU and other
    Open Universities. He also presented the report of SUKANU Committee Meeting held at Savitribai
    Phule Pune University. Smt. Jyoti Patil delivered vote of thanks.
