TOPIC 1.0 WHOLE NUMBERS UP TO 10 000 DAY Wednesday
UNIT 1. NUMBERS UP TO 10 000 TIME 9:10 -9:40
SUBTOPIC EXPLORE NUMBERS DURATION 30 minutes
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
In the end of the class, pupils will be able to:
(i) Match the quantity of two numbers
(ii) Match groups of objects with numbers
LEARNING OUTLINE
Pre-lesson:
1. Teacher shows various numbers using number card
2. Randomly, pupils read the numbers
Lesson development:-
1. Teacher introduces the pupils to calculating tools such as abacus and sempoa
2. With guidance, pupils learn to compare the numbers by comparing the thousands first, followed
by hundreds, tens and ones value
3. Teacher divides the pupils into groups
4. Pupils carry out group activity, match the group of object with numbers using flash card. Pupils
arrange the objects in ascending orders (21st CA)
5. Pupils answer the questions within the given time (CBA)
6. Teacher and pupils discuss the answers (HOTS)
Post-lesson:-
Teacher and pupils make conclusion of today’s lesson
