Format for Micro-Project Proposal

Title of Micro Project: VARIOUS MICROWAVE COMPONENT

1.0 Brief Introduction :-

Microwave components are essential in systems that operate at

microwave frequencies (300 MHz to 300 GHz), commonly used
in communication, radar, and satellite systems. Each
component has a specific role in controlling, guiding, and
processing microwave signals.
Key points in the introduction:
Here's a brief explanation of key microwave components:
1. Waveguides – Channels for guiding microwave signals.
2. Circulators/Isolators – Control signal direction, preventing signal
feedback.
3. Attenuators – Reduce signal power without distorting the
waveform.
4. Mixers – Combine two frequencies to produce sum and difference
frequencies.
5. Filters – Block unwanted frequencies and allow desired signals to
pass.
6. Couplers – Split signals into multiple paths or combine signals
from multiple paths.
7. Amplifiers – Boost signal strength.
8. Resonators – Store and release energy at specific frequencies.
2.0 Aim of the Micro-Project (in about 4 to
sentences)
This Micro-Project aims at:
1. To design and analyse the performance of a microwave filter for
frequency selection in communication systems.
2. To develop and test a directional coupler for efficient signal
distribution in microwave circuits.
