1. Getting Started
o Transfer In-App Purchases from BIAS FX Mobile
▪ If you own BIAS FX MOBILE and have purchased expansion packs, please
select “TRANSFER FROM BIAS FX MOBILE” during the on-boarding process.
The app will automatically open BIAS FX MOBILE to verify your purchase
history then transfer and restore all your expansion packs to BIAS FX 2
MOBILE.
▪ If you decide to transfer later or if your BIAS FX MOBILE was installed on
another device, please go to the SETTINGS menu and select “TRANSFER
IN-APP PURCHASES” after the on-boarding process. From there, you can
redo the transfer process or follow the instructions to re-download BIAS FX
MOBILE and transfer your expansion packs.

1. Expansion packs that can be transferred: Essential Analog Effects Pack, Effects
Powerhouse Pack, Classics From 60’s Pack, Studio Rack Pack, Acoustic Pack, Bass Pack,
Metal Signature Pack.
o Apple Sign In
1. If you are using iOS 13 or later, you can now link your ToneCloud account with your
Apple ID. Just tap the “Continue with Apple” icon on the LOGIN page and enter your Apple
ID and password. Remember, it only works when you already have a ToneCloud account
and the email address of your Apple ID matches your ToneCloud account.
o Connecting an Audio Interface and Audio Settings
▪ Please select the corresponding input channel on your audio interface. The
app can support up to 8 input channels max.
▪ Select the preferable buffer size and sample rate. A higher sample rate
setting will give you higher quality sound, and a lower buffer size setting will
reduce audio latency, but please note that increasing the sample rate and/or
decreasing buffer size may lead to performance slowdowns as more of your
device’s resources is required.

o Adjusting Input and Output Gain

1. The level of the input signal can affect the overall gain and saturation of your tones, and
the level of the output signal can affect your overall recording level. Here are several tips
to help you optimize your input signal:
▪ For the best results when using an electric guitar (or bass), we suggest that
you use an audio interface with a “Hi-Z” or “Instrument” input.
▪ If your audio interface offers input level adjustment, it is typically best to
adjust it right on the device to keep the recording level entering into the
plug-in within this optimal range. Try to avoid clipping in the input stage of
your audio interface.
▪ Guitars with active pickups may have a hotter output than traditional
passive pickups. If your guitar utilizes active or especially high output
pickups, we recommend that you set your audio interface or preamp's input
PAD to “On”, if available.
▪ The multi-color input and output meter also provides guidance - basically,
try to keep your level within green and yellow, and avoid the red zone
(which indicates that the signal is too high and might be clipped).

▪ To prevent audio feedback, the output “MUTE” button is on by default when

you are using the microphone on your mobile device as the input. You can
unmute it by tapping the “MUTE” button. The mute function will be
automatically disabled when an audio interface has been detected.

2. Signal Path Management
