MATERIAL COST ESTIMATE FOR THE ERECTION OF A REINFORCED CONCRETE


RETAINING WALL AND FOOTING, AT WILLIAMS STREET, BATHURST.

SCOPE OF WORK
The erection of this retaining wall with height 3m, length 25m and width-tapered from 350mm to
300mm includes,
• Earthworks or excavations of trenches width 1m and maximum depth not exceeding 1.2m.
• Providing and laying PCC 1:4:8 mix (20mm aggregates) blinding 50mm thick on well
compacted base.
• Providing twisted mild steel bars in reinforced concrete.
• Providing and laying PCC 1:2:4 mix (20mm aggregates) in retaining wall footing (Stem and
Toe).
• Centering and Shuttering retaining wall using Timber 1”x12”x14’, 2”x4”x14’ and bush stick
braces.
• Providing and laying PCC 1:2:4 mix (12mm aggregates) in retaining wall.
