INSET PROFILE
Assessment provides indication so that educational judgement can be made. Assessments are used for evaluation and to make
general and specific report about learners’ proficiency.
Nowadays, many assessment tools can be downloaded online. It is good that we have a variety of assessment tools that are
easily accessed by every educator especially in making formative, summative and/or periodical test, unfortunately, there are educators
who became dependent in these platforms. Queries in the difficulty, setting, appropriateness, scope etc. are some of the dilemmas that
confronts our pupils.
Moreover, to further improve the assessment practices of MBES classroom teachers, the proponent of this training workshop
Rationale perceived the need to understand the content and principle of test construction as to redirect the teachers on the significant role that
classroom assessment plays in the teaching and learning process.
Teachers must provide appropriate assessment when they aim for holistic measure of the learners’ current and developing
abilities. The ultimate objective, which is to improve learner’s academic performance can only be achieved when teacher-made
assessment materials construction and making of Table of Specifications are revisited.
This training- workshop may lead to the upgrade of making teacher-made assessment materials and making of table of
specifications produced by Matatalaib Bato Elementary School Teaching Staff.
Describe briefly the proposed PD program/course highlighting its focus content and state in behavioral terms the program objectives.
