COURSE DESIGN

Course Title : SPANISH LANGUAGE AND CULTURE A1 LEVEL

Nominal Duration : 100 hours

Course Description:

The SPANISH LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY A1 LEVEL consists of competencies that a


person must achieve to use familiar everyday expressions and very basic phrases and
interact in a simple way aligned to Common European Framework of References for
Languages (CEFR) standards.

This course includes competencies which the individual must have so he or she can
understand and use familiar everyday expressions and very basic phrases aimed at the
satisfaction of needs of a concrete type. It also contains competencies to help the person
introduce himself or herself and others. The individual can ask and answer questions about
personal details such as where the person lives, people he or she knows and things he or
she has, in order to interact in a simple way provided the other person talks slowly and
clearly and is prepared to help.

Trainee’s Entry Requirements:

Trainees or students who want to enroll in this program should possess the following
requirements:

● Must be at least eighteen (18) years old and above;


● At least High School graduate or holder of an ALS certificate of achievement
(secondary) or Senior High School graduate; and
● Must be a Filipino Citizen* (for TESDA scholarship availment)

This list does not include specific institutional requirements such as other educational
attainment based on partner (MOA), nationality, appropriate work experience, specific
clearances and others that may be required from the trainees by the school or training
center delivering the TVET program.

Documentary Requirements

1. Original and photocopy of ANY of the following:


● College Diploma or Transcript of Record;
● High School Diploma (Old Curriculum or Senior High) or ALS Certificate (secondary);
● Form 137; and
● Certification of Grades or True Copy of Grades.

2. Original and Photocopy of PSA Birth Certificate


● Additional document FOR MARRIED WOMEN: Original and Photocopy of PSA
Marriage Certificate

3. Latest Picture: Two (2) pcs. 1”x1” and One (1) pc. 2”x2” pictures with white background

Trainer’s Qualifications:

● At least completed 2-year college level;


● Certificate on higher language proficiency in the language to be taught (except Filipino
language) OR training certificate of language course aligned with CEFR;
● Trainer’s Methodology I (TM 1) Certificate or Community Based Training Methodology
(CBTM); and
● At least two (2) years related experience in the language to be taught within the last
five (5) years.
● Facilitate E-learning Session (FELS) Certificate or any certificate related to conduct of
online training delivery is required if the program will be conducted through online delivery
mode.

MODULE DESCRIPTOR : This module covers the knowledge, skills and attitude required
to listen, read, speak and write using familiar everyday
expressions and very basic phrases aimed at the satisfaction of
needs of a concrete type.

NOMINAL DURATION : 64 hours

SUMMARY OF LEARNING OUTCOMES:

Upon completion of this module, the students/trainees must be able to:
