REPORT SUMMARY
I. OBJECTIVES:
>THIS AIMS TO IMPROVE AND MAINTAIN THE NUTRITIONAL STATUS OF ALL 3 YEARS OLD CHILDREN
> TO EVALUATE THE EFFECTIVENESS OF SUPPLEMENTARY FEEDING FOR PROMOTING THE PHYSICAL
GROWTH OF 3 YEARS OLD PRE-SHOOL CHILDREN IN THE BARANGAY.
PROVISION OF FOOD IN ADDITION TO THE REGULAR MEALS FOR CHILDREN NOT ENROLLED IN DAY CARE
CENTER in the BARANGAY. Providing extra food to children or families beyond what they normally have at home
is an intervention aimed at supporting the nutritional wellbeing of the target population .
Starts in the month of January to June 2024, Barangay Nutrition Scholars and Barangay Health Workers with
kagawad on Health implemented this program through dry feeding and distributed in a house to house basis due
to lack of time for most of the parents to claim the food items in the barangay.

Safeguard our pets from contracting rabies. protect pup, other animals, and family from a fatal
outcome.
Rabies Vaccination for dogs and cats conducted on June 10 scheduled at purok 1 to 6 San Luis and purok 7 on
June 11, 2024.
Barangay officials and Volunteer Health Workers assisted the vaccinators from the City Vet office during the
implementation of dogs and cats vaccination. At least 389 dogs and 52 cats were vaccinated.

I. OBJECTIVES:
NUTRITION MONTH: To raise awareness about the importance of good nutrition to all constituents,
especially children. This event is a campaign to address various nutritional issues such as
malnutrition, obesity, and micronutrient deficiencies
MOTHER’S CLASS: TO educate mothers on important Health topics like nutrition, family planning,
breastfeeding, Immunization, dengue prevention, Non-communicable diseases, Healthy life style, etc.
Barangay San Luis conducted the said event with a healthy life style Zumba competition participated by the group
of women from purok 7 (extension groovers), senior citizens group (SC rockers), volunteer health Workers, San
Luis Elem. School Zumba kids, women’s group of San Luis Proper and the mothers’ class group. Aside from this
HEALTHY BABY contest also was conducted with 6 participating babies at 6 mos. To 1 year old. Each winner
received cash prizes.
Other activity is the mother’s class graduation and livelihood class which was presented by 11 mothers who
completed the 15 days session.

II. HIGHLIGHTS OF THE ACTIVITY
Spearheaded by the barangay council with the barangay tanods, Barangay Health Workers and Barangay Nutrition
Sholars conducted posting of IEC “Aso mo, Itali mo” in all 8 puroks.

appointees; BPATs, BNSs, BHWs and street sweepers at purok 7 San Luis extension.

Signage’s help to enforce rules in the community. It helps spread awareness and encourage
responsible proper garbage disposal in the barangay.

On July, 2024 barangay council with the Barangay Peace keeping action team placed the signage’s “Garbage
schedule” in all dumping areas for the awareness of the barangay constituents

To help participants recognize and respond appropriate to cardiac, breathing and first aid
emergencies
Barangay Health workers and Barangay Nutrition Scholars with kagawad on Health attended the
hands only CPR training at Beneco south drive. Participants were able to learn the basic
application of Hands Only CPR which was lectured and demonstrated by the Philippine Heart
Association and Medical team from Baguio General Hospital. Participants were the PNP, Care
Givers, Health care providers, SK chairperson, brgy officials, BHWs, BNSs, fire department and
others.
