“ The Magic Market Day”

“In a bustling town, every Saturday is market

day, a day when the community comes
together at the local public market. The story
follows a young girl named Mia and her
grandfather as they explore the vibrant
market filled with colorful stalls and friendly
faces.

The story begins with Mia and Grandpa Joe

preparing for market day. Mia is excited to see her
favorite vendors and try new foods. As they arrive,
they are greeted by the lively sounds of laughter
and chatter, the scent of fresh bread, and the
sight of colorful produce.

As they visit each stall, Grandpa Joe shares

stories about the vendors. They watch as Lily
pulls warm loaves of bread from her oven, and
she teaches Mia how to make a perfect loaf.
At Carlos’s stand, they pick ripe strawberries
and learn about the importance of local
farming.

Mia also discovers Aunt Mei's stall, where she

paints a small canvas under her guidance.
Each encounter teaches Mia not only about
the products but also about the hard work and
creativity that goes into them.

As the day comes to an end, Mia helps her

grandfather gather their purchases. They head
home, filled with fresh produce, baked goods, Yes Ma’am.
and a newfound appreciation for their
community. Mia realizes that the market is not
just a place to buy food but a hub of stories,
relationships, and shared experiences.”

The End. (The learner’s will answer the

questions.)

Did you enjoy the story?

Very good!

What do you think is the most important

lesson Mia learns from the vendors? Why are
their stories significant?

Why do you think public markets are

important for communities? How do they
benefit both vendors and customers?

Have you ever visited a local market? What

did you see, hear, or smell that made it
memorable?

If you could create your own market stall,

what would you sell and why? What story
would you want to share with customers?

Class, these are the products that we can buy

in our community's public market. These are
the products that our local farmers sell. Class,
public markets are important in every
community because it's our primary source
wherein we buy our daily needs. Farmers sell
in public market wherein their products are
their source of income. They gave us fresh
products, healthy foods, and quality crafts
fresh from their farm. Community's public
market is an important place because this is
the place where we buy our daily needs for us
to survive and this is the place where people
