 What activities do you enjoy when socializing or going out?
 Do you usually go out with friends, family, or colleagues? Or do you sometimes
prefer solo activities?
 Are you more of a night owl, or do you prefer daytime outings?

2. Nightlife Vocabulary
• vibrant nightlife (noun) – a lively and energetic social scene that thrives
during the night-time hours.
• night owl (noun) – a person who prefers to be awake and active at night.
• bouncer (noun) – a person in charge of door security at an entertainment
venue.
• smoking ban (noun) – a prohibition on smoking cigarettes in enclosed
spaces.
• last call for alcohol (noun) – a phrase used by staff in a pub to inform
customers the pub will be closing shortly.
• to binge drink (verb) / binge drinking (noun) – to drink an excessive
amount of alcohol in one session.
