Pencil Head is a dynamic collective of young architects


and related professionals based in Kathmandu, Nepal.
Our team is dedicated to providing our clients with
innovative and prolific design solutions in architecture,
landscape architecture, interior design, and urban
design.
We take comprehensive responsibility for all project
phases, from client relations and conceptual design to
construction documents and construction
administration. Beyond offering technical services, we
deliver high-quality, research-based designs, technically
known as evidence-based designs, with a keen focus on

The proposed interior design aims to create a
harmonious living space that caters to the tastes

design goal is to achieve a modern interior that
seamlessly integrates wood elements, creating a
cohesive and aesthetically pleasing living

About the project
The client wished to convert a load-bearing
structured residence into a restaurant,
incorporating a new extension that merged
seamlessly with the existing structure. They
seeked a minimalist design approach inspired by
the Himalayan region of Nepal. Hence design
featuring stone work, solid wood, abstract forms
of prayer flags, and white brick walls to evoke a
subtle Himalayan ambiance was created with a
serene and inviting dining atmosphere..

About the project
The client aims to transform their four-decade-old
boutique resort into a luxurious retreat while
preserving its unique rural Nepali charm. The
renovation encompasses the redesign of multiple
spaces within the resort, each with a new purpose
and elevated aesthetic. A key focus of the design
is on refreshing the existing structures with
luxurious touches, all while maintaining the rustic,
traditional Nepali feel. This includes incorporating
high-quality, natural materials such as stone,
wood, and handcrafted elements, alongside
DHULIKHEL MOUNTAIN RESORT, KHAWA modern amenities.
About the project
The client desired a corporate office that
combines a professional look with a fun and
engaging environment for their staff. Despite the
constraints of a tight layout, we have creatively
utilized the walls and ceiling to establish a
cheerful and dynamic corporate workspace. This
approach ensures that the office maintains a
professional appearance while fostering an
enjoyable and stimulating atmosphere for
employees.
