Course Description: The proposed In-Service Training (INSET) program aims to equip educators with the
necessary knowledge and skills to effectively implement the Matatag Curriculum and integrate 21st-
century skills into their teaching practices. The program will focus on enhancing teachers' understanding of
the Matatag Curriculum's key principles and competencies, particularly in the areas of Mathematics and English.
Additionally, the INSET will provide a comprehensive reorientation on the DepEd Merit Selection Plan (MSP),
emphasizing its importance in promoting fair and transparent recruitment and selection processes within the
Department.
• Gain a deep understanding of the Matatag Curriculum and its alignment with 21st-century skills.
• Develop effective strategies for integrating 21st-century skills into their Mathematics and English lessons.
• Learn about the latest pedagogical approaches and best practices in teaching these subjects.
• Enhance their knowledge of the MSP and its importance in ensuring a fair and transparent selection
process.
• Apply the principles of the MSP in their daily work as educators.
This INSET will empower teachers to provide their students with a high-quality education that equips them with
the knowledge, skills, and competencies needed to succeed in the 21st century.
