Basic Body Scrub Formula
Below is our personal body scrub formula. This will serve as a guideline for
your formulations. Feel free to play with the ratios to create your own
custom blend. We even included a few variations to help you get started!

Most soap bases already have a preservative in them. When in doubt,

check with the manufacturer. We prefer Essentials By Catalina's foaming
bath whip. If they are out of stock or do not ship to you we have heard
positive feedback about the Stephenson brand. We do not recommend
the Nature's Garden or Crafter's Choice bases for these recipes as the oil
content my turn your products gummy,

Directions
1. Add shea butter whipped soap base into a large mixing bowl
2. Using a hand or stand mixer, whip for 10 minutes. It is best to use
the beating attachment as this recipe is quite dense
3. Allow the mix to rest for 5-10 minutes
4. While the mix is resting, add your pigments to your fragrance oils
and sit aside.
a. If you are making multiple colors, split the whipped base up
evenly into separate containers.
5. Slowly pour your colored fragrance oils into your whipped base and
thoroughly incorporate
6. Gradually add your sugar to the whipped mixture. You want to add
about 2 pounds at a time.*
7. Use an ice cream scoop to fill each jar with even amounts of scrub.
8. Wipe down jars with alcohol and label products as desired
9. You are now ready to sell your scrubs!
