Is it important for kids to play organised team sports?

It is truly important for kids to play organised team sports.

First of all, kids get a sense of belonging. Social interactions are everything at
this period of time and sometimes, kids feel left out. The feeling of being excluded
couldn't be more devastating for younger generations who are constantly trying to find a
place to be welcomed. By participating in organised team sports, they will feel valued
and it will teach them that they always belong somewhere in this world.

Secondly, Organised team sports teach kids to learn discipline and to develop a
sense of commitment. Some might say that discipline should not be taught, because it
isn’t important. Well, it is cleared that disciplined individuals tend to strive, especially in
leadership roles. Team sports demonstrates that giving up is never the solution. Kids will
learn to be committed at everything they do, and it will prepare them to be
well-disciplined and committed individuals in their future.

Finally, we cannot forget the reason we do sports. It keeps our body healthy, both
mentally and physically. For many, doing sports is a time for them to take a break in
their exhausting and jam packed day. It changes their mood to a happier state.

To conclude, organised team sports allow kids to feel a sense of belonging, it

teaches kids to be disciplined and to develop a sense of commitment, and it strengthens
their health by being physically active. Having the opportunity through sports to fight for
the growth and development of young generations, when seemingly everything else is
their life is shattering is a journey so important that every child should be included in.
