towards my life and family, and also for unleashing supernatural insights for this timeless and
life changing work. I equally thank my thoughtful, articulate, heaven bound and God fearing
supervisor, Dr. Kappe Peter Mamman for his effective scrutiny, careful proof reading and
corrections from start to the finishing.

Moreover, I express my profound gratitude to the Head of Department both outgone (Prof. S.I

ABSTRACT

This study examined the “effect of entrepreneurial development programmes on growth of small
and medium enterprises in Taraba State.

The data for this work was collected through questionnaire administered to 400 respondents
from various Local Government Area (LGAs) in Taraba State. A total of 400 copies of
questionnaires administered randomly to small businesses, entrepreneurs, businesses managers.

The study also applied descriptive statistics, under here the descriptive statistics provides an
overview of the respondents demographic and perceptions of YES programme, entrepreneurial
incubators, and entrepreneurial education.

The findings from the descriptive statistics and hypothesis indicate that various entrepreneurial
development programmes have a significant impact on the growth of SMEs in Taraba State,
Nigeria.
