1. Mở bài
Well, this topic is really interesting I must say. In my life, have many interesting
experiences about (chủ đề bài nói). Among them, I remember a time when I was (thời

To be honest, I have a lot of feelings at that time, I feel happy/ sad/ confused. My
feelings at that moment cannot be expressed in words.
In my opinion, I think it is very important for many people.
3. Kết bài
This is my story. I learned a lot of lessons and made many more
memories after that. I think that, in the future, no matter how long or
what happens, I will never forget this
One time I had to do something that I didn't want to do was when I had to write a
long essay for my school assignment. I didn't like writing essays because they
were boring and difficult for me. I had to research a lot of information, organize
my ideas and follow the rules of grammar and style.
• I felt relieved and proud when it was over. I was glad that I finished the task and
submitted it on time. I was also proud that I overcame my reluctance and did my best. I
learned a lot from the process and improved my writing skills.

People can motivate themselves to do things they don't like by setting goals, rewarding
themselves and seeking support. Setting goals can help people focus on the purpose
and benefits of the task. Rewarding themselves can help people celebrate their
achievements and enjoy the outcomes. Seeking support can help people get advice,
feedback and encouragement from others who can help them.
Teslas cost substantially more than usual petrol cars. Their price
fluctuates around 80,000 – 100,000 USD.
Unfortunately, I can’t afford this car right now – I have just graduated
and entered the job market with not the highest ever salary. Therefore, I
will wait for a couple of years, until my pay improves. I will also have a
better range of car models to choose from.
Generally, I don’t laugh a lot. But, today, I’m going to talk about a time
when I couldn’t stop laughing. Last Friday was my close friend Nam’s
21th birthday. He is my childhood friend. We’ve been together for
almost 10-12 years. As it was a special occasion, we wanted to celebrate
it differently. But, none of us was interested in going to restaurant and
partying there so I invited Nam 3 other friends to my room to spend
some quality time together. At around 7 pm, everyone was there. Nam
suggested watching an Indian movie named Three Idiots. The story
talked about 3 friends and their struggle to fulfill the dreams of their
parents. The main objective of the film was to highlight a major problem
of the Indian society. It is parental pressure. Most parents don’t let their
children choose a career. They just want them to become engineers or
doctors. There were a few serious scenes in the movie, but, in general,
the whole film was full of comedy. We laughed a lot that day.
You know “Laughter is the best medicine.” And, now, the health
benefits of laughing are scientifically proven. Laughter reduces stress
levels and boosts our immune system. It can bring a positive change in
our life. In short, we should laugh and smile daily to lead a happy and
healthy life.
I knew that she had been working hard for months to get into this
program, so her acceptance did not come off as a surprise. She had been
studying for the entrance exam and preparing her application for months.
Besides, she had also been networking with people in the field and doing
her research to make sure she was a good fit for the program.
Nevertheless, when I heard the news, I was happy. I took great pride in
her for all the dedication she had put in and for achieving her goal. Only
a few other people, including myself, knew how much this meant to her.
She had been dreaming of entering this program for a long time, and I
was so glad that she had finally realized her dream.
In fact, this was going to open up a lot of opportunities for her as she
was going to be able to learn from some of the most brilliant minds in
the field and make connections with people who could help her to
advance in her career. It was definitely a moment worth celebrating.
Talk about a challenge you encountered
Here, I would like to speak about the challenge that I faced happily. It
was to get slim. I was not aware that I had put on weight. However, one
of my friends challenged me to reduce my weight within one month. I
accepted it and did hard for it. I started to get-up early and after
refreshing myself, I did running, yoga ..., I stopped eating junk
food which I used to eat frequently. Though it was a hard task for me but
I had to do it to win the challenge. With continuous efforts, I reduced
much weight and proved myself.
My friend was surprise to see me because she had never expected that I
would make great efforts to get fit. Now, I look younger than my age.
So, this happened due to the difficult challenge that I faced in the past.

Let me tell you about a bad weather experience .I recall one time about
five years ago when the weather had been very bad all week, especially
the heavy rain. While we were in English class, a terrible storm was
happening outside. As we were sitting there in class, some water started
to drip through the ceiling into the classroom. At first, it didn't seem
very serious, and the teacher called for someone to come and clean it up
while we continued with the lesson. But within about 10 minutes, we
had to evacuate the classroom because the slow drip became much
worse.
After a few minutes, we moved to another classroom to continue our
lesson. Luckily, the next few days were dry, the storm had passed. But
we'll never forget what happened
A NEW COURSE
Today I will tell you about my programming course last week. It was a
course that I really wanted to take to improve my programming skills. I
have learned a lot of algorithms and data structures to be able to make a
website. I am also programming myself an IoT website for my
graduation project.

Cua lo beach is really interesting, the beach is very large, flat, and it has
a lot of sand. Waves are very strong, you will be very excited when you
play with it. There are a lot of beauty spots, and good seafood there
We stayed in Binh Minh hotel. It was a very nice and comfortable hotel,
it’s also rather near the sea.
The weather was hot and sunny all day. The sea was cool and clear,
because it was very windy in the afternoon. We went swimming twice a
day. The food was extremely delicious but not very expensive.
We took a lot of Photographs of the sea, bought a lot of seafood
especially octopus, and some sovenirs for our relatives. After a week in
Cua lo beach, we felt happy and stronger. We hope to go there again.

In my life, I have visited many places. Each of them has some certain
meanings to me. Now, I'm going to talk about one of them
This temple does not only keep the proof of our history, but
also represents the enthusiasm and dramatic changes in the
Vietnamese educational system. Just a few walks from the main gate,
people can already feel the ancient atmosphere. It draws the attention
of many visitors from all around our country, and even foreigners. I
often visit the Temple whenever I have an exam, or to apply for a job.
After each visit to the site, it seems like all the burdens and stresses are
relieved, and my heart will be fulfilled with calmness and joy.
piece of clothing?
Tell me about your favorite piece of clothing?
How do you feel when you wear it?
Why do people dress in such different ways?
Model answer
My favourite piece of clothing is my black dress. It's my
favourite piece of clothing because I can wear it with many
things and black is my favourite colour. I bought the dress from
Zara last month. It's a maxi dress. I have worn the dress many
times.
When I wear this dress I feel very confident and comfortable.
People dress differently because everyone has a different taste.
Some people like bright colours and some like dark colours.
Some people like comfortable clothes and some people like
more formal clothes.
Tell me about a time when you were banned from doing sth
How did you feel about it?
Do you think we should set the rules ?
Or
I am not good at finding directions, so I often get lost easily.
Recently, I got lost when I was visiting Cuc Phuong National
Park last February. It is very large park with a variety of animals
and plants. The natural scenery was beautiful. We took a lot of
photograghs and almost forgot the time until it got dark. As
there were a lot of trees, the space inside the park seemed a lot
darker than outside, thus, it was hard for us to find our way out.
Luckily, before we completely lost our patience, the park’s
guards found us and led us to the entrance very quickly. By the
time got out of the park, all of us were totally exhausted, hungry
and thirsty. I think When people get lost they usually ask
someone else for help or they use a map on their smartphones to
find out the way.
Part 4 :
1. Tell me a time you went to vistit an amusement park
2. How did you feel?
3. Do people in your country often visti amusement parks?
Model answer
Last year when my family spend the holiday in Nha Trang I had
a chance to visit an amusement park there named vinwonder. It
is one of the largest amusement park in Viet Nam.It occupied
around 10 acres of land. It had all kinds of games and rides,
such as: rollercoasters, railways, water rides, ferries wheel and
so on. The game I enjoyed most was water slide. I also watched
a 3D movie there with my brother. I felt extremely excited
during the trip. Visting amusement is a popupar activity in my
country. People often go there on the weekend to relax. It is an
ideal place to go with kids, too.
Part 4:
1. Tell me a time you had many choices.
2. How did you feel?
3. Do you think we have so many choices to decide?
Model answer
It was the time when I just graduated from my university. I had 2
choices: Start working or go back to university in order to obtain/get an
advanced degree, such as an MBA. I wanted to study more but I didn’t
have enough funds to pay for my educational expenses. Not knowing for
sure what to do, I sought for some important advice from one of my high
school teachers. He told me that I should have gone back to university
again. So, I followed his advice. It was one of the best decisions I have
ever made so far.In fact, I got an invitation to work as a teacher at a local
university after finishing my advanced degree. I was satistied with my
choice. Each of us has many choices to decide. We need to think
carefully before making a decision.
Part 4 :
Describe a time you had a difficult question
In my life, I have undergone/experienced many times when I have a
difficult question. Each of them has some certain meanings to me. Now,
I'm going to talk about the time when I received the tough question that I
have the strongest impression. As far as I remember, It was 4 months
ago. I and three other students in my university class had to make a
presentation about environment pollution . In the assigment, the teacher
asked us to find out the exact number of deaths from environmental
pollution in Vietnam in 2022. We were all worried because It was really
difficult question. To answer the question, we had to consult many
documents at the library and on the internet. We also asked other
students in university for materials. After 2 weeks, we found the source
of the material and compiled it. In the end, our presentation was highly
appreciated and got high score by the teachers. Looking back on that
memory, I feel happy and I think I will never forget it.
Part 4:
1. Tell me a time you tried to play an extreme sport?
2. How did you feel?
3. Do people in your country often play dangerous sports?
I’m not a risk person. So, I have had very little experience of taking risks
throughout my life. But for now, I would like to talk about the first time
I went ice-skating.
Or
In my life, I have undergone many times that I played an extreme sport.
Each of them has a certain meaning to me. Now I’m going to tell you
about one of them.
It was the summer break/ last summer. We were so bored of going to
shopping malls and eating out, My friends asked me to try ice-skating. I
was nervous because I didn’t know how to skate and I was so scared of
falling. However, my friends encouraged me and show me how to skate.
The skating area was very crowded. A lot of children were proficient in
skating as they could go really fast. As an amateur, I fell a number of
times and got my skin scratched and bled a bit. However, I was strong
enough to get up and continued practicing. At the end of the day, I
finally could skate slowly without any help. After 3 hours of skating, we
had a large meal and headed home. I think what I’ve learned from
skating is the “never give up” spirit. I have to take it seriously, spending
countless time on it with full passion and energy. Even though it hurt
badly in the following days, I’m still thankful that my friends gave me
an unforgettable experience that I’ve never thought I could gain. People
in my country don’t like extreme sports very much. They prefer popular
sports like football, tennis and basketball
Part 4:
1. A time you saw an impressive work of art ( tác phẩm nghệ thuật)
2. How do you feel?
3. It is impossible to teach people to be creative. Do you agree with
it?
Model answer
Last weekend, I went to the museum with my friends. When we
got there, we saw a famous painting named Mona Lisa. It was
just a reproduction of Mona Lisa . The painting looked amazing.
The color are dark tones. And the main point is a lady with a
mysterious smile.
For thousand of years, many scientists have been trying
to understand the meaning behind that smile. I felt very happy and
excited when we saw this painting. We took many photos with it.
About the opinion “It is impossible to teach people to be creative”.
I don’t agree with it because I think that creativity skills can be
learned. Not from sitting in a lecture, but by learning and applying
creative thinking processes.
Part 4:
1.Tell me a time you used internet?
2.What do you use internet for?
3. Do you think people nowaday use internet a lot
SAMPLE ANSWER
Last weekend. I invited my friends to my home for dinner. I decided to
make spring rolls. I went on the Internet to search for the perfect recipe.
I first used google, a search engine, to find what I wanted. Later, I
searched for “how to make spring rolls” on TikTok and you tube, and
many short videos related to it were shown, with very detailed steps. I
was very satisfied with the search results. Internet plays an important
role in our daily life. I use Internet to communicate with other people,
shop online, listen to music, watch videos, and much more. I think
people nowadays use internet a lot. There is a lot of content available
and they can’t stop surfing the Internet day by day
- When was the first time that you used the internet?
To the best of my recollection, the first time I used the internet was when I was 12
years old. At that time, I didn't have computer at home, so I only used computers in
my elementary school. I barely knew how to use a computer and I would only use
it to play some games and study computer science. I remember vividly on my 12th
birthday, my mom bought me a laptop which was a cutting-edge one at that time.
The first thing I did with it was sign up and I've been using Facebook ever since.
This social networking website allows me to keep in contact with my friends.
Now most of the things I do is with the help of computer and internet. I am very
grateful for having access the internet, because it has made my life much easier.
Nowadays, many people are likely to over use internet and some of them even
become addicted to it. How can people get the most benefit from using the
internet?
For me, using the internet is just like using a knife. If we use it correctly and
wisely, it is a helpful tool. But if we use it wrongly, it can cause harm. Therefore,
we should not just avoid using the internet. Instead, we should learn how to use it
properly. In detail, we should spend less time on the internet and more time
outside. Besides, we should motivate ourself to read more books rather than
spending time on the Internet.
Part 4:
1. Tell me a time when you were in a hurry?
2. How did you feel?
3. Modern life makes us busier and more rushed. What do you think?
In my life I have experienced many times I’m in hurry. Now I’m
going to tell you about one of them. It happened just last weekend.
My friends and I had a dinner at a restaurant. We had a nice meal
and great time together. When I was on the bus coming home, I
realized that I left my bag at the restaurant. I was really scared after
noticing that because the bag contained many important and
confidential stuffs such as: a credit cart, tax return form, ID card,
my student card...and so on. Then I was very hurry to get back to
that restaurant. On the way I worried so much and I wondered
what would happen with my bag. But fortunately the bag was
collected and kept securely by the waiters. Looking back this
memory I felt I was very lucky at that time. About the opinion
Modern life makes us busier and more rushed I strongly agree with
it. Modern life can mean busy living. It can be full of making
money, fulfilling professional and personal ambitions, raising a
family, keeping in touch with friends, running a home...and
sometimes maybe even relaxing. That’s why people are busier and
more rushed today.
Task 4:
1. Tell me a time when you gave a help.
2. How did you feel?
3. How can people be encouraged to do good things?/ What are ways to motivate
others?
I remember when I was in grade 10th. I helped my needy friend who was my class
fellow. His name was Tim and He came from a poor family. He didn’t have
enough money to buy books. And I had a hundred usd per month pocket money.
Usually, I spent that money on chocolates and I love chocolates.I decided to help
him by giving all my pocket money to him. So, he could be able to buy books. By
helping him, I could see the smile on his face which brought me great joy. Since
then, we have been best friends. I realized that some things can give more
happiness than eating chocolates. We should motivate others by praising for their
help and efforts. We could also send a note too. Although most communication is
more and more digital today, receiving a hand-written note is much more
meaningful
Part 4 :
1. Tell me about a time you learned something news?
2. What was the most difficult thing for you?
3. Is it never late to learn new things?
During my life I’ve learnt a lot of new things such as a new language,
a new sport, a new kinds of instrument...and so on. Now I’m going to
tell you the time I had to learn a new software in my last job in a
hotel. The manual had over 100 pages. To be honest, I found it
challenging. It was very different from the software I used to work
with before. But I did not give up. I studied the manual hard. I asked
my co-workers for help. Finally I was successful. I could use the
software quickly and It made my work easier. I think It is never late
to learn a new things. Learning new things help us catch up with the
change and improve ourselves.
Part 4:
1. Tell me a time you achieve a goal?
2.How did you feel?
3. what ways can help people achieve goals?
Model answer
In my life, I have undergone many times that I had to try my best to achive a goal.
Each of them has certain meaning to me. Now I’m going to tell you one of them.
When I was still a high school student, like many the other students, passing the
University entrance exam to get into my dream University was my main goal. But
for me, I felt that the pressure was even higher since I had chosen Hanoi Medical
University – one of the top Universities in Vietnam. There are thousands of
students taking part in that exam every year so it is highly competitive.
In order to compete with the other candidates, I spent hours in the library studying.
I had to stayed up late and got up early in the morning to learn. It was a hard time
but I didn’t feel tired because becoming a doctor was one of my greatest desires.
With all my effort, I passed the entrance exam with outstanding results and
became a medical student. When I received the results, I was so happy that I burst
into tears. Finally I achieved one of my big goals in life.
Now I will tell you about a time I received a gift. Last year, my brother gave me an
iphone on my birthday. It is a smartphone designed by Apple. It’s handy,
convenient and has many functions. I have downloaded many apps and games to
my iphone. I often use it to surf the Internet, learn English, listen to music and read
e-news. Especially, Google Maps is extremely useful when I need to look for a
location orget lost. I also make free phone calls and send free text messages by
using some applications. I feel so excited and joyful. This gift is not only special
but also very useful. People in Viet Nam give presents on many occasions such as
on birthday parties, opening ceremonies, on women’s day, teacher’s day, when a
baby is born and so on. People give presents to show love, express their feelings,
say thank you, sorry or share happiness with friends and relatives. Some common
gifts in Vietnam are flowers, clothes, and books. Last week, I gave some flowers to
my mother on her birthday. She was so thankful and surprised.
Đề 2 : Describe a building
I was born and raised in this city so I guess I know every corner of the city. There
is one tall building that I am particularly interested in, it’s a hotel named Daiwoo
that I had the opportunity to visit a while ago.
It was constructed about 10 years ago, it’s a 30 story-building and the outer of the
building is made of glass. There are a lot of flowers and plants in front of the hotel
so it really caught my attention the first time I saw it.
I have attended a wedding there once, all the halls and rooms are very well
equipped with modern facilities: elevators, big-screen TVs, beautiful furniture, etc.
All the walls are filled with beautiful paintings from local artists. So, walking
along the hallways made me feel like I was at an art gallery. Also, there are a lot of
flowers both inside and outside, which make the place very lively.
