Light weight and extremely tough Thermobreak® Thermaloc is a high density, closed cell, cross linked polyethylene polymer foam pipe support
for hot and cold applications.

Easy & Safe to Install

Thermaloc installation is as simple as placing the two pieces over the pipe, squeezing together gently and applying foil tape (supplied separately).
No cutting means no fibres, no dust, no mess to clean up afterwards and no need for protective face masks and gloves.
Thermaloc is Green Star compliant (Low VOC), has Zero Global Warming Potential (GWP) and is manufactured without ozone destroying agents
such as CFCs or HCFCs.

Built to Perform, Built to Last

Thermaloc’s closed cell technology is unaffected by water and humidity as well as being resistant to detergents, diluted acids, alkalis, alcohols,
esters and fungi ensuring performance in even the most demanding applications and over the life of the installation.
Once sealed, Thermaloc’s profile ensures an airtight finish preventing potential air condensation especially in cold line applications. Thermaloc’s
high density foam also absorbs pipe contraction and expansion movements preventing gap formation and erosion of the ferrule over time.
 Product Selection
The high density structure of Thermobreak Thermaloc pipe support enables it to handle certain loads applied by the weight of the pipe
and its contents. However it is important to use the right Thermobreak Thermaloc product and install at the correct spacing, to avoid
excess loading and deflection.
Thermobreak Thermaloc comes in two shapes – round shaped and flat base shaped. The flat base shaped product is available
for pipe sizes 4” IPS (114.3 mm outer diameter) and above.
Round shaped Thermobreak Thermaloc pipe supports of 4” IPS or greater should not be used in any load bearing applications on a
flat surface, and should only be used where the pipe support is resting on a pipe hanger.
The flat base shaped products are specially designed to handle loads for pipework oriented in the horizontal direction and on a flat surface.
• For flat surface loads, only use Flat Base Thermobreak Thermaloc for supporting pipes 4” IPS or larger.
• F or hanger supported pipes 4” IPS or larger, round Thermobreak Thermaloc must be cradled by a round pipe
hanger of width the same as or wider than the longitudinal thickness of the support.
Maximum design loads for Thermobreak Thermaloc must be considered prior to use.
