Symmetry Lines
HIGHEST POINT

The highest point of the brow bone where

the bone meets the forehead

High arch = bigger or the same distance

as thickness
Lower arch = less distance than thickness

3RD LINE HIGHEST POINT OF BROW

2ND LINE DETERMINES THE THICKNESS
1ST LINE IS THE BEGINNING

EYEBROW THICKNESS

0 - The Center of the face - the center of the face helps to achieve perfect symmetry.
1 - The Start of the eyebrow - this is measured through the piercing point, measure
vertically upwards.
2 -The Arch of the eyebrow - the arch is the highest point of the brow. To find the arch of
the brow, measure from the outer part of the nose up through the outer corner of the iris.
3 - The Tail of the eyebrow- measure from the outer part of the nose up and through the
outer corner of the eye.
Using the example in the first picture, measure, and draw
your own eyebrows on the remaining faces.
Position of Tail

Lifting Shape
Tail is a bit higher than the
front line

Basic Shape
Tail and front on the same line

Strong Lifting
Tail is at the highest possible point
Make sure the tail is not lower than the front line eyebrow and not higher than the middle line.
Hair Strokes Basics
There are some basic rules to creating realistic eyebrow hairs. Consider the following:
1. Strokes should not overlap
2. Strokes should be smooth start to finish
3. There should be an equal distance between strokes
4. Strokes should not be parallel
5. Fewer strokes will have a better heal time
6. Use clean and neat pattern strokes

Right Eyebrow Hairstrokes
In this exercise, you'll learn to create the right brow hair strokes. Work nice and slowly and try to
space strokes at least 1mm apart to give the most natural finish. Aim for soft, smooth curves,
with fluidity in pressure. Take note of the arrows indicating the direction in which you should
draw each stroke. Use a SHARP Pencil.

Basic Stroke Pattern
It's time to breakdown the basic stroke pattern, though it may look complicated we'll break down
each step to help you create a full brow. This basic pattern gives a full brow but with a natural
brushed hair stroke appearance that can work for most eyebrows. There will be 5 easy steps that
we exercise. Be sure to follow the direction of every stroke. Always keep in mind the natural
directions of the client's eyebrow hair..
