Q16. Attempt any one:
a) An insurance company insured 2000 scooter drivers. 4000 car drivers and 6000 truck
drivers. The probability of accident is 0.01, 0.03 and 0.15 respectively. One of the insured
person meets with an accident. What is the probability that he is a truck driver?
b) The incidence of occupational disease in an industry is such that the workers have a 20%
chance of suffering from it. What is the probability that out of six workers chosen at random,
four or more will suffer from the disease?

(a) An infinitely long plane uniform plate is bounded by two parallel edges and an end at right
