Theme: Personal Introductions

Level: Grade 6

Duration: (45 minutes)

1 session

EBC: I write short texts that tell stories and describe people and places that I imagine or know.

DBA: 1# Participate in a short conversation to tell your name, age and basic information to
teachers, friends and family. For example:

3# Understands and uses familiar words and short phrases about routines, daily activities and
tastes

Learning objectives:

1. Learn to introduce themselves and others in English.

2. Practice proper pronunciation and intonation when introducing yourself.

3. Develop listening and oral expression skills through interactive activities.

4. Build confidence and communication skills in English.

Necessary materials:

 Chalkboard or white board

 Markers or chalk

 Student name cards (optional)

 sheets of paper and pencils

Session: a) Start (5 minutes):

 The teacher greets the students and creates a welcoming atmosphere.

 The teacher will introduce the topic of the class: personal presentations in English.

b) Vocabulary (10 minutes):

 The teacher introduces vocabulary related to personal introductions, such as "My name
is", "I am", "I live in", etc.
 The teacher asks the students to repeat the sentences after you and write them in their
notebooks.

 The teacher performs oral practice exercises, where students practice saying the phrases
in pairs or small groups.

c) Interactive presentations (20 minutes):

 The teacher asks the students to form a circle in the classroom.

 The teacher begins the activity by introducing yourself in English, using the phrases and
vocabulary taught.

 The teacher throws a ball to a student and asks him to introduce himself using the phrases
learned. The student must throw the ball to another student for the performance to
continue.

 The teacher continues the activity until all students have had a chance to introduce
themselves.

d) Written activity (10 minutes):

 The teacher asks the students to write a short presentation about themselves in English,
using the phrases and vocabulary learned.

 The teacher can provide an example structure to guide them.


 The teacher encourages students to be creative and add personal details to their
presentation.

e) Closing (5 minutes):

 Summary of the presentations made and highlighting the important points learned.

 Provide positive feedback on student work and answer any final questions.

 Homework Assignment: Ask students to practice their presentation at home and be ready
to share it in the next class.
