VIETNAM-SINGAPORE MARKETPLACE
A Legacy of Strong Alliance & Growth

Singapore and Vietnam celebrates 50 years of diplomatic

relationship this year. Half a century’s legacy has resulted in
the 14 Vietnam-Singapore Industrial Parks (VSIPs) generating
investments worth over $15.6 billion and creating upwards of
293,000 jobs in Vietnam.

Looking ahead, the synergistic collaborations between both countries

remain strong. In the first half of 2022, Singapore contributed more than
$4.1 billion total direct investment into Vietnam and became its leading
foreign investor. As Singapore’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs recently
stated, “Both countries will witness the signing of several bilateral
agreements that will further strengthen the multi-faceted cooperation
between Singapore and Vietnam, particularly in the digital economy
and green economy.”

Indeed, both countries have prioritised accelerated cooperation

in the digital economy, and Vietnam Business Exchange (VBEx)
Asia will facilitate such collaborations through a unique digital
business matching platform and a series of thematic events
in Vietnam and Singapore.

Delivering Insights & Accelerating Cooperation

Vietnam Business Exchange (VBEx) was established by Singapore

and Vietnam business leaders who have connections with various
government bodies, industry associations and business communities.
Leveraging on this, VBEx is co-organising the VBEx Conference 2023
with its partners – Research, Innovation & Consulting Hub (RICH),
Vietnam Digital Communication Association (VDCA) and
Association of Telecommunications Industry of Singapore (ATiS).
VBEx is also supported by leading brands Vietcombank, LYS Energy,
EY Consulting and Secoin Group.

Besides the VBEx ecosystem of business services, VBEx Conference 2023

will deliver even greater value to partners and delegates alike. Co-located
with the prestigious M&A Forum – set for 28 November, organised by
the Vietnam Investment Review (VIR), under the Ministry of Planning
& Investment (MPI) – VBEx Conference 2023 will be a follow-on event
for M&A Forum’s expected 500+ high-level participants.

Starting with the inaugural VBEx Conference 2023, VBEx Summit will
be an annual business and industry exchange event from 2024 onwards,
held alternately in Singapore and Vietnam. VBEx Summit is set to be
the launchpad for many bilateral collaborations.
