01 - INTRODUCTION

Anxiety is a feeling of worry or fear. It

can be normal but can become a problem
if it’s too intense. There are different
types, like general anxiety and panic
attacks. Symptoms include a fast
heartbeat and trouble focusing. Learning
about anxiety helps people manage it
better.
02 - WHAT IS ANXIETY ? "We need to
understand what
happens to us inside"

anxiety is defined as an emotional state

characterized by feelings of tension,
worried thoughts, and physical changes
like increased heart rate. It often involves
apprehension about future events or
situations perceived as threatening.
03 - WHAT IS DISORDER ?

Is it a heavy losss
Disorder refers to a state of confusion or lack of
organization, manifesting in various contexts. In a medical
context, it describes conditions that disrupt normal physical
or mental functions, such as anxiety disorders, depression,
or eating disorders. Psychologically, it encompasses issues
that affect a person's mental health and well-being. In
everyday situations, disorder can also denote chaos or
messiness, such as a cluttered environment. Overall, the
term indicates a deviation from an orderly or normal state,
highlighting dysfunction or disarray in physical, mental, or
organizational aspects.
04 - ANXIETY DISORDER

"Anxiety is a
real problem in
our society"
Anxiety disorder is a mental health condition marked
by excessive and persistent feelings of worry, fear, or
anxiety that can interfere with daily life. Common
types include generalized anxiety disorder, panic
disorder, social anxiety disorder, specific phobias, and
obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD). Symptoms can
range from restlessness and irritability to physical
symptoms like increased heart rate. Treatment often
includes therapy, medication, and lifestyle changes.

thought patterns. Medications like **SSRIs** and **SNRIs**
are commonly used to manage symptoms, with
**benzodiazepines** for short-term relief. Lifestyle changes,
including regular **exercise**, **mindfulness practices**,
and good **sleep hygiene**, can also help reduce anxiety. In

08 - PREVENTION

"It is important to pay

attention to our mental
health"
To prevent anxiety disorders, focus on managing stress, maintaining healthy
habits, and building emotional resilience. Practice relaxation techniques like
deep breathing or meditation to cope with stress, and ensure a balanced
lifestyle with regular exercise, enough sleep, and a nutritious diet. Develop
healthy coping mechanisms such as journaling and self-compassion, while
avoiding perfectionism and negative thinking. Surround yourself with
supportive relationships and minimize exposure to toxic environments.
Mindfulness can help reduce rumination and stay present. If you notice early
signs of anxiety, seek therapy, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), to
address issues before they escalate. A proactive approach to mental health can
significantly reduce the risk of anxiety disorders.
