The sample was dissolved in methanol, and a few (3-4) drops of conc. HzSO+ were
added. The mixture was heated for a few seconds in a water bath and the contents
poured in a beaker of water. A white ppt with with pleasant smell of iodex was
obtained. The ppt was identified as late.
