In this research, a smart camera that can be used for monitoring public transit and for law
enforcement purposes is discussed. Since we are conducting an academic review of already published
material, we will begin with some background information. What follows is a comprehensive
breakdown and analysis of the smart camera, including a discussion of its individual components, how
they work together to detect and identify specific automobile attributes automatically, and overall
performance. Also included is a discussion of how the smart camera works. The system's most
impressive qualities are its intelligent make and model recognition (MMR), licence plate recognition
(LPR), and colour recognition (CR) capabilities. Their flowcharts, deployments, and recognition rates
are all analyzed and documented for future reference. In addition to this, we take into account MMR's
two primary rivals, bag-of-features and scalable vocabulary tree, as well as a third technique known
as pyramid match. In the conclusion, we analyze the overall efficacy of the smart camera system and
make some suggestions for how it could be improved in the future.Citation(42)

Driving into the Future: Social and Economic Implications of Intelligent Vehicles
Tensorgate Journal of Sustainable Technology and Infrastructure for Developing Countries 5 (2), 27-41,
2022
This study examines the social and economic implications of intelligent vehicles, also known as
autonomous vehicles or self-driving cars. The findings suggest that the widespread adoption of
intelligent vehicles is likely to lead to significant changes in transportation habits, with people
potentially relying more on autonomous vehicles for their daily commutes and a decline in public
transportation usage. While the increased adoption of autonomous vehicles may lead to improved
safety on the roads, the study also found that there may be concerns about data privacy and
cybersecurity as the technology advances. There may be a need for increased regulations and security
measures to protect personal data and prevent hacking. The economic implications of intelligent
vehicles are also significant, with the adoption of autonomous vehicles potentially leading to reduced
costs for individuals and businesses. However, the study also found that there may be job losses in the
transportation sector, particularly for truck drivers, taxi drivers, and delivery drivers. Governments
may need to provide support and retraining programs for affected workers. As intelligent vehicles
become more prevalent, new business models may emerge. For example, ride-sharing companies may
shift from human-driven to autonomous vehicles, or new companies may emerge to provide
maintenance and repair services for autonomous fleets. The adoption of autonomous vehicles may
also require significant infrastructure changes, resulting in significant costs for governments and
businesses. The findings of this study suggest that while the adoption of autonomous vehicles has the
potential to bring significant benefits, policymakers will need to carefully consider and address the
potential risks and challenges associated with this emerging technology. Regulations and security
measures will be crucial to protect personal data and prevent hacking, while support and retraining
programs may be necessary to address job losses in the transportation sector.Citation(53)

This work aims to review the hazard warning & turn signal indication technologies used in automotive
sector, as a whole, heretofore and to conjecture a suitable circuit-based technology acceptable to
driver and implementing automotive industry, ultimately. An issue has been faced by most drivers
that turn signal cannot be indicated, once the hazard warning signal is on. This may lead to accident. It
happens due to the wrong assumption of driver that turn signal is on, while taking a turn, but turn
signal cannot be indicated, in effect, as the hazard warning signal is being indicated and it overrides
the turn signal manifestation. However, technologies have been developed into which the turn signal
indicated, if activated by driver, overrides the hazard warning signal indication. Still, these
technologies are not into practice, due to either non-acceptability of those technologies in automotive
industry or implementation issues, perhaps. Therefore, there exists scope to develop more
technologies of same kind which may lead to same results, but in more effective manner which will be
automotive industry friendly and easy to implement.Citation(15)
