1. What is ICT?

 ICT stands for Information and Communication Technology.


 It refers to the use of computers, software, networks, and other technology tools to
manage, process, and communicate information.
 ICT is important in every aspect of life, including education, business, communication,
and entertainment.

2. Basic Components of ICT

 Hardware: Physical parts of a computer system.


o Examples: Monitor, keyboard, mouse, printer, speakers, computer case, USB
drive.
 Software: Programs that tell the hardware how to perform tasks.

 Output Devices: These devices receive data from the computer and display or output it.
o Examples: Monitor, printer, speakers.

4. ICT in Everyday Life

 Education: ICT tools help in online learning, research, and accessing information.
 Communication: ICT enables communication through emails, text messages, social
media, and video calls.
 Entertainment: ICT allows streaming videos, playing games, and using social media.
 Business: ICT helps in managing business operations, communicating with clients, and
