To,
The Visa Officer,
The Australian High Commission,
New Delhi, India
My name is Gurjant Singh, born on 11/01/1999, to Mr. Jageer Singh and Mrs. Kulwant Kaur. I
am resident of Village Manpur Piparia Post Gulariya Bhup Singh Ps Banda < Shahjahanpur,
Uttar Pradesh, India. My passport number is S2967432. I'd want to describe myself as an
ambitious and diligent student who values reaching his or her objectives. I have now planned to
pursue Diploma of Business leading to Advanced Diploma of Business from Gills College
Australia.
In terms of my educational background, I graduated from secondary school with a 72.6% grade
under the Indian Certificate of Secondary Education in 2019 and from senior school with a
82.83% grade under the same board in 2021, studying business. I certainly got good grades, and
I was happy with my work. I worked very hard to earn good grades since I knew they would
influence how my entire future would pan out.
I have always enjoyed studying, acquiring new skills, being creative. My passion for solving
number problem was also really strong since my childhood. Having all of these interests, all I
chose Commerce in my 11th standard because I thought I it would be really beneficial for me
and it will also be in accordance of my interest. As I grew up, I started taking responsibilities of
my household chores, helped my mother and even I worked with my father and helped him in
his work. My father understood me really well and he recognized that I would be successful in a
career which will involve managing and being responsible at work. He had a conversion with me
one day, and we discussed it thoroughly. After having such open conversation with my father, I
felt really blessed because I got realization that what I want in my future. My father insisted me
to get career counseling so that my career prospective will get clear. I went to few counselors
and they told me to pursue specialized education in the field of business which includes
operating organization, including everyday operations as well as long-term plans and projects.
Searching out options and talking with different people now I have come to a conclusion that
Diploma of Business leading to Advanced Diploma of Business would be the best option for me
to make my career successful.
Although I looked at various option in India to for my further education but I was not sure to
continue my study here due the various educational flaws my country has. For example, I
researched about IISWBM Kolkata, IIM. St. Xavier’s College, Mumbai etcetera. These colleges
are undoubtedly ranked good in India but Australian Colleges and Universities cannot be
compared with Indian ones. Many of the 2,000 or so institutes recognized by the All India
Council for Technical Education (AICTE) have minimal faculty, most of whom have little practical
experience in field of business studies and who undertake little research of decent quality. Also,
a scant 250-300 schools allow themselves to be rated—something that would make for easy
assessment. These institutes should be at the apex of education, for older students with work
experience, but that isn’t so today. Besides, Indian Education system judge students based on
their academic performance and not on their overall performance. This affects those students
who are not good at specific subjects. Bookish knowledge is the prime motto of the Indian
education system. The focus is given on the theoretical knowledge only not on practical
knowledge. As a result, most Indian student gets unemployed despite having high qualification.
The incorrect learning process in our system is one of its key issues. The teacher may advise
"cramming" as a learning strategy if the students are unable to grasp a concept. The Indian
classroom scene from the film "3 - IDIOTS" is still visible. What happens when students give
presentations without being familiar with the topic matter is very well illustrated in this film.
Our method basically encourages pupils to memorize the entire textbook without really
understanding it and then present it in the exam. Students who do this will hold ranks. So, all
these factors scared me the most and I got influenced to study out of India. Because I do not
want to put my career into danger and I definitely do not want to end up unemployed after
spending huge chunk of money on my education.
Considering all the factors into consideration, I opted Australia to study further due to various
reasons. The business environment is becoming increasingly international, and Australian
business qualifications encourage graduates to think globally in an environment that merges
Eastern and Western perspectives of business and management. Australia’s multiculturalism
means that I will have the opportunity to study alongside students from many different
countries, giving me a broad cultural perspective. Courses are also recognized internationally,
with many gaining accreditation from prestigious authorities such as the Association to Advance
Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), which means that I can gain employment anywhere in
the world. International students can get high-quality degrees from universities in Australia that
are regarded and recognized all around the world. Students from all around the world can find
amazing work prospects by earning a business degree from a reputable Australian university.
When it comes to education, business schools in Australia for international students have the
best facilities and offer an ideal business learning environment, which further helps to improve
students’ career prospects. Employers around the world prefer to recruit people who have
numerous experiences and multicultural skills. If I get a degree or a diploma from an Australian
college/university, I’ll have a better chance of getting a job as employers acknowledge the
Australian education system.
Whether I wish to work for a multinational company, a start-up or want to start my own
organization, obtaining a business degree from Australia will offer me with the skills and
knowledge you need to pursue my dreams. Australia is a very accessible destination for
international students because its study abroad programs are growing in popularity all over the
world. The major colleges in this area are welcoming to international students and offer
services and programs designed to help study abroad students get the most out of their
academic experience. Another reason behind choosing this course from Australia is that this
country will provide wide range of career path opportunities at disposal. And these all
possibilities together with the use of networking skills and certification will lead to further
career growth which will not be possible here in India.
So after making my mind to study abroad, I got to know that English Language Proficiency Test
is mandatory so I prepared for it and sat in examination on 23 Januaruy 2021 and I got overall
6.0 bands.
Listening- 6.0
Reading- 70.
Writing- 6.0
Speaking- 5.5
I had to think a lot while selecting a university, institute, or school, including but not limited to
university rankings, accreditation, and alumni ratings. For international students like me, life at
a foreign institution is more than simply a place to memorize data from textbooks; it's also a
chance to learn new skills and look for opportunities for personal growth that weren't available
to them back home. So, after conducting my research, I chose to study at Gills College Australia.
In 1996, Gills College Australia was founded in Perth, the vibrant, multicultural capital of
Western Australia, the country's largest state. It was expanded to additional areas after gaining
over 20 years of experience. Operational expansion has so far been successful in Sydney,
Adelaide, and Patiala, Punjab (International Offshore). College likes maintaining a more intimate
scale. They are able to care for each student individually, which is one of the reasons it is
referred as the "friendly college." The curriculum at Gills College Australia is structured to give
students breaks for other crucial facets of your life. Since classes are often held across three
days, I’ll have some time to spare for additional study, internships, or part-time employment.
Average class size is around 30 – Large enough for the exchange of ideas, but small
enough for everyone to be heard.
Assessment are ongoing and based on complete learning experience – A lot less
worrying than feared final exams.
Real-life situations based projects – situations for the projects provided by trainers with
mentorship and guidance.
Sufficient class time – Subjects allow sufficient class time not only for training, but for
some assessment activities and individual attention as well.
Holidays – after each 10 weeks, there is a holiday to recover.
In terms of the course I have chosen, it is a course that develops the fundamental abilities
needed to work as a professional in the business world. The curriculum is set up to provide
students with the in-depth business information they need to run a successful company or
organization. The curriculum for the Diploma of Business leading to Advanced Diploma of
Business was created with consideration for all business areas, including marketing, banking,
finance, and management. In addition to producing tomorrow's teachers and researchers, this
course also produces today's workforce. Development can only be achieved by ongoing
research and novel, cutting-edge tactics. The course prepares you to perform complex tasks
within a specialist area of a business setting. This qualification is designed to reflect the role of
individuals in a variety of Business Services jobs, such as purchasing, marketing and sales. It is
possible to assign these individuals the responsibility of performing frontline management
functions. The job function of these individuals involves performing moderately complex tasks
within a specialized area of expertise that requires expertise in business operations. The College
course structure enables students to select from a variety of specialities. As a result of taking
this course, I will have a better understanding of the many management styles used in small,
medium, and big businesses. I've always been curious to learn more about business
management on a bigger, broader scale. Knowing how one business grows so much and
another doesn't after having so many competitors in the same industry is actually entertaining.
Everything is based on the methods and marketing plans used by several business moguls.
People must conduct numerous case studies and other activities in order to succeed in the
corporate world.
Strength, Weakness, Opportunity, and Threat are more definitions of this. If a company has
considered all of these factors, there is a probability that it will succeed.
I am 100 percent confident that after completing my degree, I will have learned enough and
gained enough foreign experience to launch a successful career in this field. My resume will
undoubtedly stand out with the degree I hope to earn in Australia thanks to the high caliber of
international education, which will make me an attractive candidate for the most prominent
companies in my own nation and others. I will be able to live worry-free for the rest of my days
because this will guarantee me a solid profession and future. I plan to apply for a position with
a major multinational corporation (MNC) in India, such as Reliance, Samsung, Nestle, HDFC
bank, ICICI bank, or Infosys, as an HR manager, business development manager, or business
analyst or team leader.
At the conclusion of this paragraph, I would like to state that the only reason I am applying for a
subclass 500 visa is to obtain a highly regarded and recognised degree that would ensure I get a
well-paying job at one of the top corporations in my home country. For me, it is crucial to build
the groundwork for the goals I have set for myself because I am a student who is constantly
working to deliver and reach the best degree of performance and payout, respectively. As much
as I have faith in my talents, I also recognise the reality that decisions have consequences for
the rest of my life. I always want to choose wisely to avoid having any regrets. I want to return
to my native country after finishing my studies and lead a happy life there with my family. I
promise to observe the law while I'm there and I don't intend to remain longer than the allotted
time on my visa. I want to apply all of the knowledge and expertise I will acquire during my
studies in Australia for the advancement of my own nation. I'm confident that visiting a friendly
nation like Australia will provide me with lifelong memories.
I declare that I will value Australia ethics and abide by rules and regulations as an international
student and abide by all the conditions imposed on a student visa holder. I only wish to stay in
Australia to gain valuable education that will help me retain a secure professional future in my
home country India. I shall obey the visa conditions which I would need to full fill under the visa
subclass 500 that are:
Regards
Gurjant Singh
