Significant factors for success
Successful college students do not enter their studies with an unclear and murky
understanding of exactly what it is they would like to do in life. When you know exactly what
profession you would like to enter, it makes it very easy to select the appropriate degrees
fisng for that desired occupa'on or career.
Study Habits
College success is definitely driven by how diligent and discipline one is towards studying.
Having good study skills is not just a ma9er of sisng in a library for hours end on cramming
informa'on into your head. Good study skills means that you know how to priori'ze your
day to fit in the appropriate amount of 'me to digest material from class. It also means you
know how to say no to extracurricular and social ac'vi'es that will possibly interfere with
your ability to study.
Self-Confidence
Last but most importantly, college success is also based on a strong sense of self-belief and
self-confidence. Those who believe they can achieve their academic goals will definitely do
it. It might be a struggle, but their persistent belief drives them to put in the necessary
amount of work in order to accomplish their dream of gradua'ng from college.
Stress Management
Another aspect to student success in college is the ability for students to clearly manage
their stress. This comes from learning how to not take on too much load from school and
also know how to balance social life with school life.
18
Responsibili)es / Objec)ves
Provide an environment that supports your intellectual, social and personal development.
Provide feedback on wri9en and other assignments in accordance with published school or
faculty deadlines and standards.
Provide IT and Library support to facilitate study and on the condi'ons set out in hard- copy
and electronic publica'ons.
Provide a range of student support facili'es to address academic and pastoral needs.
Provide the opportunity for student feedback on the quality and nature of teaching provision

Conclusion
In conclusion, my internship as a counselor at INVERTIS UNIVERSITY has been a profoundly
enriching and transformative experience. Over the course of this internship, I have had the
opportunity to work with a diverse group of students and gain invaluable insights into the field
of counseling and higher education.
One of the most significant takeaways from this internship is the importance of empathy and
active listening in counseling. I've learned how to create a safe and non-judgmental space for
students to express their concerns and fears, which, in turn, has helped them navigate their
academic and personal challenges more effectively.
Furthermore, I have developed strong appreciation for the role of teamwork and collaboration
in the counseling profession. Working closely with experienced counselors, faculty, and other
professionals has broadened my perspective and allowed me to draw from a wide range of
expertise and resources to support students.
My time as an intern has also reinforced the significance of ongoing self-reflection and
professional development. I have been fortunate to attend various workshops, seminars, and
training sessions that have enhanced my skills and knowledge in counseling techniques and
strategies.
Additionally, I've come to understand the importance of cultural competence and diversity in
counseling. Each student I've worked with has a unique background and set of experiences, and
it's crucial to tailor my approach to meet their individual needs and circumstances. This
internship has deepened my commitment to promoting inclusivity and equity in higher
education.
