V. ACTIVITY IMPLEMENTER : OUTFIT OFFICERS OF S.Y. 2024-2025

VI. Rationale

Fostering leadership, citizenship, and character development in its members is one of the Boy Scouts
of the Philippines’ primary objectives. Thus, the Boy Scouts of the Philippines Outfit 271-272 organizes
various activities like training courses, that certainly contributes to the growth of each member through
providing significant life skills and lessons. Since then, staff training has been instrumental to the
accomplishment of the organization’s goals and achievements. Consequently, we at Outfit 271-272
believes that by implementing our activity, we can guarantee the advancement of our Senior Scouts.

VII. Objectives

This activity aims to:

•hone and improve the skills and abilities of our staff members;
•cultivate a sense of obligation to oneself, God, and the nation;
•fostering a strong sense of responsibility;
•enhance the fundamental skills of our staff members in leadership;
•empower our Senior Scouts to become responsible and efficient leaders; and
•contribute to the constant growth and development of the organization.

VIII. Activity Description

In this staff training, the members will engage themselves in a variety of informative and exciting
activities, prepared to enhance their knowledge and abilities, most especially in leadership and personal
well-being. This is to establish an efficient group of individuals who will work together for the upcoming
academic year. There will be modules consisting of lecture portions and hands-on activities aligned
closely to the scouting fundamental principles.

Team-building activities will be conducted to equip the members with crucial outdoor and survival
skills, as well as environmental awareness. This is designed to ensure that each one of the members has
the quality to collaborate with one another, and to protect themselves.

Furthermore, modules and trainings centered on essential life skills, which includes first aid and
awareness about safety precautions, as well as survival skills will also be discussed. Our Outfit Advisers
will lead these enlightening seminars. Guest speakers who are specialists in their fields will also
be invited to talk at the aforementioned training.

The training will also include different leadership exercises to ensure growth among staff members
in many aspects. These exercises are designed to test various fundamental skills of our members, which
includes their critical-thinking, communication skills, and most importantly, their decision-making.
Through the development of leadership skills, this training allows each member to serve as a positive role
model not just for our institution, but for the whole community, driving positive impacts and making
differences.

After the aforementioned training, an assessment will be conducted to determine the members’
learning outcomes and to pinpoint any knowledge and skill gaps that existed both before and after
