Built around the Leica DM2700M laboratory microscope with integral LED illumination, the ffTA is a unique modular system that allows
the user to add functions to meet specific laboratory requirements. Using an optical multiplexer the operator simply switches the image
from one module to another.
The unique modular configuration of the ffTA enables new modules to be seemlessly integrated with the users existing system at any
time.

A NEW CONCEPT IN TRACE EVIDENCE EXAMINATION...
The ffTA GRIM system determines the refractive indices of glass using the oil immersion
Required Components /temperature variation technique.
Features include:
Reference oils and glasses • Interactive graphical display of results
Set of 3 purified silicon oils and 19 glass • Agglomerative (ELM2) and divisive (SKM2) algorithms
standards to cover the refractive range. • Reports providing details of all RI values and calculations undertaken
The software, designed to work with data from the ffTA GRIM system, can also import results
directly for GRIM 2 and GRIM3 data files whilst also providing support for alternative data sources.
